Setting the scene: 70 percent of U.S. office workers and managers are putting in 40+ hours each week.

Employees are working these extra hours not to get ahead, but to catch up on work they couldn’t tackle during the traditional 8-hour workday.

1. Office space is an important aspect of employee wellness and productivity.

Designing with purpose can increase productivity (61 percent) and creativity (46 percent).

2. 62 percent of respondents say that a wellness program (think fresh foods, onsite gyms, and other perks) is a selling point when looking for a new job…

…but only 36 percent say their workplace offers one.

3. 3 out of 4 employees say their employer does not provide them with the latest technology to help them do their job more efficiently.

Even employees who report being productive at work agree that with the right technology, they could do more.

4. Telecommuting and flex time is a major factor when considering job opportunities, and 65 percent of respondents say having a more flexible schedule could help them avoid burnout.

Telecommuting and flex time increase job satisfaction and wellness by improving work-life balance. 69 percent of employees indicate they would not be happy if they did not have access to these perks.
