INDIVIDUAL PICTURE DAY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th
DRESS UP DAY!!!
We kindly ask that you take this opportunity to dress your children up for God. Dress them as if they are going to a wedding, the Opera, a Broadway show or even a business dinner with clients. They may also wear their school uniform. We also request that stu-dents do not wear jeans, as we give students other opportunities during the school year for a jean day. This is a memory that will live at the school forever, in yearbooks and on your walls in your home. Order forms went home on Friday, September 2nd. If you did not receive your form, please come by the school office.
Gracias.

PRINCIPAL’S CORNER…. Archdiocese Office of Catholic Schools Visit – the Assoc. Superintendent, Adam Dufault, and the Director of La no Enrollment & Engagement, Carlos Hernandez, came to visit us at SSCS on Tuesday (8/30). They were impressed with the posi ve culture and climate of the school. They said that every student, teacher, parent and staff mem‐ber they met were warm and friendly. They also noted that our school felt very Catholic, well maintained and invi ng. They shared that our school is “a school to watch for all the right reasons” which include our com‐mitment to best pedagogical prac ces and our ongoing efforts to be inclusive of all students who would like a Catholic educa on. It says a lot about us, our mission, and our school that they picked up on all that we’ve been working so hard toward as a first impression. Way to go! We have a lot to be proud of here at SSCS!!! Your Servant in Christ, Glenda Oliver
SCRIP PROGRAM
We are in need of a willing parent who would be able to take over the management of our Scrip program. You would be responsible for maintaining our school stock, placing the bulk orders on the 15th and the end of the month and tracking our inventory. You would work closely with Ms. Arahana Contreras in regards to inven-tory and orders. If you are interested in this opportunity, that can be mostly done at home, please contact Mrs. Glenda Oliver.

Car Line Etiquette
With the beginning of school, we need to review car line etiquette as a refresher for our returning families and information for our new families. As you all know, we have limited space in our parking lot so we need to be mindful when driving through the lot. In the mornings and after school we try to keep the lane closest to the school as a drop off and pick up lane only. Our HIGH TRAFFIC TIMES are between the hours of 7:40am-8:00am and 3:15pm-3:30pm.
So during our HIGH TRAFFICE TIMES, we ask that you please pull into a parking place…..
...IF you need to get out of your vehicle to help your child in or out of your car.
...IF you have a preschool student that you are drop-ping off or picking up.
...IF your child needs to get their stuff or sport gear out of your trunk.
...IF your children are not ready to get out of your vehi-cle in the morning.
The purpose of these guidelines are to ensure positive traffic flow and to keep our families and students safe. If cars have to pull around you because you are parked too long in the drop off and pick up lane, that creates a dangerous situation for everyone in the parking lot.
Some of these guidelines are new this year, so please be patient!!
Gra-cias.
