As I have recently mentioned in homilies and, as many of you seem to agree as you’re entering and exiting our church, I am really very proud of our new courtyard and landscaping. I find it deeply calming and uplifting to find natural and created beauty leading us to spiritual beauty in the worship of the Mass. It is a gift to find our hearts and mind subtlety lifted and prepared for worship of the creator by his creation as we walk to Mass. And yet, I need your help. As we continue to expand the landscaping and keep refining and nurturing the gift that is God’s creation, I need help to keep it looking just right. I would like to start a St. Fiacre Club, named for an Irish saint who is the patron of gardening and gardeners, who would regularly gather to weed, plant annuals, make improvements, and tackle projects our staff have trouble accomplishing on their own. I love that Msgr. Deering left so much of Ireland in our parish, from the windows and the statues, and now in our gardens. Please contact the parish office to get your name on the list for the St. Fiacre Club.

Fr. Ryan

SAV E T HE DATE S - SUMMER CAMPS

CAMP ST LOUIS - SAINTS: FASTER, HIGHER, STRONGER:

Join us this summer for an all-new middle school day camp on June 21st-25th for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders, held at St Louis Catholic Church! We are going to journey through the week, looking at what it means for us to be Saints: faster, higher, stronger, how this sets us apart for God and calls us to be great, glorifying God with our whole lives. Each day, we will focus on a different saint, as well as different habits to live out holiness in our daily lives. We will begin at 9:00am each morning and end at 3:00pm. Each day will be filled with awesome activities, all Olympic themed, so there will be games, skits, a fun field day, times of prayer, a field trip, and much more! Registration forms are posted below. The early bird price is $55 and runs through May 19th! The registration fee covers all the activities and admission to the field trip destination, a T-shirt, lunch each day, snacks, and other goodies! After May 19th, the regular registration price is $75. Email [email protected] or call 254-374-5224 for more information.

LEGACY PHASE:

St. Louis will host a 3-day series on July 14th - 16th for incoming 9th - 12th graders, where they will be able to build community and enter more deeply into their call to be in relationship with God and live in the world but not be of the world. Evening sessions are created - to fit the schedule of summertime high school students - from 4:00pm - 9:00pm, for students to come and have exciting activities and to be challenged to know the Lord more deeply and to live out their faith with greater devotion and intensity. Registration forms are posted below. The early bird price is $55 and runs through May 28th! The registration fee covers all the EPIC activities, a T-shirt, dinner each night, snacks, and other take home goodies! After May 28th, the regular registration price is $75.00
