STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE

Contributions for the week ending

April 22, 2018

$16,580.17

Thank you for your contributions.

Thanks to everyone that supported the

recent SVDP 40 Cans for Lent food drive. It

was a great success! 2292 pounds of

canned food, equivalent to $3,896.40 was

collected from our parish and school

community. In addition to the food, we

collected $230.19 worth of other needed

items. These donations will go a long way

in helping the needy families of our

community. Your generosity directly

accomplishes Jesus’ charge to “feed the

hungry”.

Thank you,

Jeannette Fumagali-Cecic, SVDP Secretary

ST. PETER RELIGIOUS EDUCATION We are quickly coming to the close of our sacramental preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Parents and students have all been working hard to get ready for their special day, Saturday May 12th. The First Communion Mass is at 10:00 a.m. and Confirmation at the 5:30 p.m. Mass, both on the same day.

First Holy Communion Our young students just attended their Mini Retreat on Saturday, April 14th. They baked bread and had a Last Supper presentation. They were given a lesson on the Real Presence followed with an activity. They learned about the rosary and practiced Songs that will be sung at their First Communion Mass.

Confirmation Our teens have been writing reports about their patron saints, and will be giving oral reports to their Catechists and classmates. The students attended a day retreat in February facilitated by Deacon Rich. Their Sponsors and Parents attended with them. They also ran a successful service project in December and January.

Please pray for all of our sacramental preparation students.

Yours in Christ Diana

Soloist Zachary Ridgway provided a wonderful evening of Music on April 21. Next Piano Concert will be August 24, 2018 at 7 p.m. Please mark your calendars.
