A Message From The Pastor...

Dear friends,

Our parish picnic last Saturday evening was a great success! Thank you to all who attended. In a particular way, I would like to express my gratitude to Angela O’Connell who led the effort, as well as the members of our parish council who both shopped for and prepared the food, and all who helped make the actual event so memorable. We truly have an awesome parish and it is a joy to be your new pastor!

On Monday, I had the honor of offering Holy Mass at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center for our teachers from All Saints School. I am continually edified by my interactions with our staff and teachers at All Saints. It has been said that in order to be a good teacher, the educator must have a love for the discipline taught, as well as a love for the student being formed. I believe that under the skilled leadership of Dr. Lori Johnson, we clearly have an incredible group of teachers.

This Tuesday, we begin our first day of classes at All Saints. As a ministry of the parish, it is important we continue to support our teachers. As we prepare for this coming academic year, could I ask for you to intercede for them?

Here is a marvelous prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops that may help us in this regard:

Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon these teachers.

Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds.

Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, forever and ever. Amen.

Relying upon the prayers of Mary, Mother of the Church, St. Peter, and indeed All the Saints, I am faithfully yours in Christ Jesus,
