Ask for the parish priest.

Mission Statement
We as a missionary community of faith, reflect
upon the gospel values of Christ according to the
teaching and tradition of the Roman Catholic
Church.
Our mission is to follow Christ by sharing our gifts
of time, talent and dedication to one another by
imitating Him, St. Paul and our founder
Mgr. Joseph De Piro, giving Christian witness to
our faith through our everyday lives in community.

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER - Year C
mission can be continued in our very houses, with our families and with all those whom we have acquaintance with. We need to know that when we give time and attention to Christ we are not wasting time. Perhaps these fishermen thought that when Jesus encouraged them to go back and fish once again after all night, labouring in vain, was useless. He was the son of a carpenter after all, and not a fisherman by experience like them. Even Peter being reconciled once again after that debacle and denial with Christ, on his way to his death, was so relevant too.
Many times we need a good shake up, a revival and a wakeup call. Many times we do not notice that we are bargaining with God, without noticing that we are going to be the biggest losers. As a believer I might have acted as a non-believer, uncooperative and Governed, and controlled with so much wishful thinking.
Choosing God rather than human authority could be a life-changing choice. Choosing the wisdom of God rather than the foolishness of men could be a lifesaving moment in my life. Choosing love and hope, I can survive and live forever happy that Christ is always on my side, even when I think that there is no other solution. The well-intentioned mission of Christ is life- giving and salvation guaranteed.

Don't miss your chance to part of this amazing evening of song! We thank you for your continued support of our efforts.
"Preaching the word without the spirit is empty, and the spirit without the word to back it up, becomes ungrounded in the witness of the first apostles."
Christ is the sole founder of our one, universal, catholic and apostolic church. He is the way, the truth, and the life of each member of this church. Every member who is fully baptized in this community of faith, knows exactly that he is automatically a missionary, and as a missionary he is an ambassador of Christ wherever he is. Therefore he is supposed to speak the language of Christ and act accordingly in "Persona Christi".
Jesus wants us to love Him as much as He loves us, and what we have to do is simply to respond to what He is asking of us. His invitation is quite clear: “follow Me." to his friends, the fishermen, he just told them to “go and fish once again”, and what a catch! To Peter, He asked him three times if he really loved Him, and he got the answer. What kind of answer is He expecting from you and me? A positive one or a negative one, an encouraging one, or a disconnected and naive one. Those who confide in Him completely, know for sure that they can get all that they really need in life everlasting. What we really need to be conscious of, is that Christ wants us to trust Him fully and unconditionally. The case of Thomas is quite obvious. He had doubts about Christ’s resurrection. He had to see and touch in order to believe. Christ had to do that miracle on Lake Tiberius, ask them for something to eat, and talk to them about the future of their Mission, in order for them to believe. Yes, Christ’s

Question: "What is Christian discipleship?"
Answer: A Christian disciple is a person who accepts and assists in the spreading of the good news of Jesus Christ. Christian discipleship is the process by which disciples grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the Holy Spirit, who resides in our hearts, to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life and become more and more Christlike. This process requires believers to respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting to examine their thoughts, words and actions and compare them with the Word of God. This requires that we be in the Word daily - studying it, praying over it, and obeying it. In addition, we should always be ready to give testimony of the reason for the hope that is within us (1 Peter 3:15) and to disciple others to walk in His way. According to Scripture, being a Christian disciple involves personal growth characterized by the following:
1. Putting Jesus first in all things (Mark 8:34-38). Our focus should be on our Lord and pleasing Him in every area of our lives. We must put off self-centeredness and put on Christ-centeredness.
2. Following Jesus' teachings (John 8:31-32). Jesus is the perfect example of obedience as He lived a life on earth of complete obedience to the Father even to the point of death (Philippians 3:6-8).
3. Fruitfulness (John 15:5-8). As we become more obedient to the Lord and learn to walk in His ways, our lives will change. The biggest change will take place in our hearts, and the overflow of this will be new conduct (thoughts, words and actions) representative of that change.
4. Love for other disciples (John 13:34-35). We are told to think more highly of others than of ourselves and to look out for their interests (Philippians 2:3-4). The next verse in Philippians (verse 5) really sums up what we are to do when it comes to everything in life: "our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus."
5. Evangelism - Making disciples of others (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to share our faith and tell nonbelievers
about the wonderful changes Jesus Christ has made in our lives. No matter what our maturity level in the
Christian life, we have something to offer. Some of the most enthusiastic representatives of the Christian life are
new believers who have just discovered the awesome love of God. They may not know a lot of Bible verses or the
"accepted" way of saying things, but they have experienced the love of the living God, and that is exactly what we
are to share.

Wednesday, April 27th: St. Pope John Paul II was declared Saint on April 27th, 2014. As you well know the Saintly Pope came to Canada and to Toronto as well. Therefore, this year, on the 27th of April, we will commemorate the sainthood of St. Pope John Paul II with a solemn mass at 6.00 p.m. followed by a beautiful film about his visit to Canada . There will be the selling of the book about his visit to Toronto after the film itself. All proceeds will go towards the roof renovation project.
