and determination to be the best for our children and our community.

Parent Teacher InterviewsIt was wonderful to see so many parents come to the interviews last term. I heard so many positive reports from parents as they worked with teachers and discussed their child’s learning journey. Our Year 1 classes will have their interviews on Monday in Week 3. I look forward to seeing those parents there.

Federal Election at St Marys PSOn May 18 there will be polling booths in the hall at St Marys. Our P&C will be running the Election BBQ to raise money for the school. We hope you are able to join us on this very important day where we get to exercise our d e m o c r a t i c r i g h t t o e l e c t t h e government of Australia while we raise funds for our school.

End of Term 1 EventsThe End of term 1 was an exciting culmination of the work that happened during the term, with some wonderful events taking place. The Sydney West Sporting trials took place and I congratulate every child who was able to attend the trials. The Easter Hat P a r a d e w a s a f u n e v e n t t h a t showcased the artistic and creative talents of our children. While the teachers may have beaten our Year 6 students in the game of Dodgeball, it was great to see the game played in such a spirit of fun and sportsmanship. There are many wonderful events that will take place during Term 2. Thank you for all of your support as we endeavour to make learning relevant and fun for our children.

Have a wonderful weekend
