Annual Pastoral Appeal Advent is almost here. Next week

is the first Sunday of Advent,

a time to prepare for the coming of

Our Savior. It is also a time when many people

focus on giving to others; family, friends,

neighbors, the letter carrier, etc. In our church

community, many of our parishioners also

focus on giving to charity; to those in need.

Please consider a donation to APA. APA helps

keep Pinellas Hope open and helps provide

many of the services available to the residents of

Pinellas Hope. APA is a big source of funds for

Catholic Charities and the many, many services

and ministries of mercy it provides. We are nearing the end of our 2017 campaign.

It is not too late to help get us to our goal. We still

need $58,444 to reach our goal. If you have

already given to APA this year, thank you. If you

have not yet given, there is still time. We have

until the end of December to raise our fair share.

Please continue to pray for the success of our

campaign as it is the source of comfort and care

to so many people. God bless you.

Christian Community

Christ Renews His Parish We need to share our faith in

community in order to trust in the

vision Christ gives us. We need to see the light of

our own faith reflected from many different angels

through the mirroring faith of other people before

we can summon the courage and confidence to

trust in what we see. We need to be committed to

listening because it allows the truth to be spoken.

Listening in community encourages real learning

to take place, a learning based upon self-discovery,

mutual support and communal encouragement.

When faith is shared, the blind no longer lead the

blind, but all walk together in the light.
