Worship Life and Faith Formation Ministries

First Friday Adoration The next First Friday Adoration is Thursday March 1st through Friday March 2nd in the Ave Maria Chapel from 6:00

pm Thursday evening through 12:00 Noon in the Ave Maria Chapel.

First Friday Rosary We pray the Rosary for the deceased members of our Parish community and for family and friends on the First Friday of

each month in the Ave Maria Chapel at 11:30 am.

Liturgy of the Hours Liturgy of the Hours are prayed each morning in the Ave Maria Chapel, before Mass or at 7:00am. Please join us.

Lenten Fridays/Eucharistic Adoration There will be no Friday morning Adoration during Lent, instead there will be Adoration every Friday in the Sanctuary

from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Benediction is at 6:00 pm. At 6:15 pm Stations of the Cross begin, which helps us reflect on the

passion and death of Jesus. Stations of the Cross will be read by the following groups each week: Feb 16 – Men of St.

Jerome (MOSTJ); Feb 23 – The Women’s Society – Stations of the Cross from Mary’s View; Mar 3 – MOSTJ; Mar 9 –

Knights of Columbus (Fish Dinner); Mar 16 – Waco Catholic Moms; Mar 23 – Senior Youth Group - Mime Stations; Mar

30 – 3PM Good Friday – MOSTJ - Fr. Raj Reflection. After Stations the group responsible for the Stations of the Cross

each week will put on a Lenten Supper in Jordan Hall. All are invited and urged to come to these devotions.

R.C.I.A. End Times/4 Last Things: In Roman Catholic theology the term eschatology has traditionally referred to teaching about

“the four last things,” which are death, judgment, heaven and hell. Eschatology refers to the area of Christian faith which is

concerned about "the last things," and the coming of Jesus on "the last day": our human destiny, death, judgment, resurrec-

tion of the body, heaven, purgatory, and hell.

Saints: The Catholic Church's veneration of saints dates back to the beginnings of Christianity. The Catholic Church recog-

nizes the value of having specific role models and helpers to assist us during the course of our daily lives. This is why certain

saints are given patronage of particular groups, activities or situations, which are usually connected with some aspect of their

lives. In this way we can develop special relationships with saints whose causes align closely with our personal needs. We

call upon the intercession of that ever-growing blessed communion in heaven, those spiritual companions who through their

prayers continue "to do the good" from their celestial watch posts on high.

Class Topic 2/28: End Times/4 Last Things – Saints

From Ashes to Easter The annual diocesan Ashes to Easter Lenten Mission Campaign has begun. Each family is invited to pick up a box and keep

it on or near the family dining table or by their bedside table. Put in some coins each day during Lent, and pray for missions

worldwide. Contributing coins each day is a corporal work of mercy that will help shelter the homeless and a spiritual work

of mercy that will help comfort the sorrowful. The money collected helps local missionaries and missionary projects from

our diocese.

Baptism Class Jordan Hall, 6:30pm. Classes are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. This class is required for parents who wish to

have their child baptized. The next class will be this Thursday, March 15, 2018.

Scripture Study and Continuing Adult Education Morning group meets on Tuesday in the Annex from 9:45 to 11:30 am. Evening group meets on Tuesday in Jordan Hall

from 6:15 to 8:15 pm. Contact: Joan Potter at 254-420-1868 or Deacon Greg George at 254-424-3061. All are invited.

That Man Is You That Man Is You! is a men's program that meets weekly. There are two groups, Thursday Morning in Brooks Hall at 5:50 am

and Saturday Morning group in Jordan Hall at 8:00 am. For more information contact Bill Leek 716-3416.
