My dear brothers and sisters, Many times we begin and end a prayer with the Sign of the Cross and in the Latino culture, many times we say “Por la señal de la Santa Cruz, de nuestros enemigos líbranos Señor, Dios nuestro. En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.” That is whom we celebrate: The most Holy Trinity… the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. One God...Three Divine persons. We not only make the sign of the cross and say those words, we also remember that God became one of us who died for us on the cross and destroyed sin and death. At the same time, we ask God to protect us from all evil and to save us. We also remember that the Holy Trinity is One God - three divine persons united in Love. Love is a beautiful gift. That act of love was shown when God the Father created the Heavens and the Earth, all human beings and all creatures. He created all things... That love was shown when God the Son died for us on the cross to destroy sin and to open the gate of paradise to all who believe. That love was shown, when God the Holy Spirit down upon the Apostles and upon us to give us the graces to profess our faith in confidence. Our God does not abandon us. Our God loves us. Yet, during these past few days, it is a challenge to see God’s love. Where people were hurting other people. Where people damaged or stole other people’s property. It was sad to see what was happening. As people of faith, we know that we are better than that, we know that we can rise above those challenges. Because of the love of God that strengthens us and gets through these difficult times. As people of hope, let us show one another what it means to love. A priceless that has been given to us by the Most Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son God the Holy Spirit. Let us remember why pray and make the sign of the cross. We remember that God died on the cross to destroy sin and to save us, and at the same time, we ask God to protect us from all evil and to save us. Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas, Muchas veces comenzamos y terminamos una oración con el Signo de la Cruz y en la cultura latina, muchas veces decimos “Por la señal de la Santa Cruz, de nuestros enemigos líbranos Señor, Dios nuestro. En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.” Hoy celebramos la Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad... el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo. Un Solo Dios... Tres personas divinas. No solo hacemos la señal de la cruz y decimos esas palabras, también recordamos que Dios se convirtió en uno de nosotros que murió por nosotros en la cruz y destruyó el pecado y la muerte. Al mismo tiempo, le pedimos a Dios que nos proteja de todo mal y que nos salve. También recordamos que la Santísima Trinidad es un Dios: tres personas divinas unidas en amor. El amor es un hermoso regalo. Ese acto de amor se mostró cuando Dios el Padre hizo los Cielos y la Tierra, todos los seres humanos y todas las criaturas. Él hizo todas las cosas. Ese amor se mostró cuando Dios el Hijo murió por nosotros en la cruz para destruir el pecado y abrir la puerta del paraíso a todos los que creen. Ese amor se demostró cuando Dios el Espíritu Santo descendió sobre los Apóstoles y sobre nosotros para darnos las gracias para profesar nuestra fe en la confianza. Nuestro Dios no nos abandona. Holy Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of the Angels and Mother of

the Americas. We fly to you today as your beloved children We ask you to

intercede for us with your Son, As you did t the wedding in Cana.

Pray for us, loving Mother,

And gain for our nation and world and for all our families and loved ones,

the protection of your holy angels, that we may be spared the worst

of this illness. For those already afflicted, We ask you to obtain the grace of

healing and deliverance.. Hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful,

Wipe away their tears and help them to trust.

In this time of trial and testing

Teach all of us in the Church to love one another and to be patient and kind. Help us

bring the peace of Jesus to our land and to out hearts

We come to you with confidence,

Knowing that you truly are our compassionate mother, health of the sick

and cuase of our joy. Shelter us under the mantle of your

and be with those who care for them. Help us to travel this road

in solidarity with our neighbors, with our eyes fixed on the salvation

promised us through the death and resurrection of your Son,

Ask what they already know and what questions and concerns they have about COVID-19. Everyone reacts differently, but your children’s questions can guide your discussion. Listen and answer their questions with facts in a way that they can understand. If you don’t know the answer to a question, be honest. Let them know that there are a lot of rumors and false information and that you’ll help them learn the facts. If it’s appropriate for their age, you can show them how to search for the answer on a reliable website. O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of Your People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.

Antiguamente llamado “Extrema Unción,” este Sacramento se ofrece al principio de una enfermedad

grave o antes de una operación para dar al enfermo la sanación y la fuerza de Cristo. La Oficina de la Parroquia puede fijarle la hora de una unción.
