Exalted Ruler’s Message
November is now upon us and the beginning of the Holidays will soon be here. Halloween is now behind us with the Lodge hosting a
wonderful costume party last month and now we look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday and all the wonderful thoughts come to mind of great food, family and good times. The PER’s will be hosting their end of month Fish Fry on the day after Thanksgiving. This event al-
ways provides great food and will sell out quickly. Make sure you have a chance to stop by on the 29th for a great meal. Those that are traveling during this holiday be safe and we look forward to hav-
ing you back soon for the Christmas events in December. Our lodge will not have orientation and Initiation during the month of November; however, it will be combined with our regular second Business meet-ing in December.
Our first business meeting in November will begin with the Lodge presenting a check for $2000 to the group called Horseplay for all the
work they do for disabled children. Please come a few minutes early that evening as the presentation will be at 7:20 that evening followed by our regular meeting.
Our House Chairman, John Gebert and the house committee have decided that with the cooler weather and the football season in full
play that it is time for the lodge to be open on Saturdays. They have planned food at the bar during these events so please don’t be a stranger. Join other Elk members for a great time and great pub
food. Our lodge continues to be a friendly and warm place for mem-bers to meet and we are proud to show this feeling to each other and Elks who are visiting from other lodges. It is because of each of our members that this lodge has the reputation of being a fun and friend-
ly place to be. Thank you All.
My Elk of the month this month is Cathy Walsh. Cathy is always
ready and willing to step in and help like so many of our members.
She assists in Orientation; processes financials for the social quar-
ters; assists the Secretary and supports everyone who helps make our lodge what it is. Cathy, like many Elks can be counted on to help
in whatever the Lodge needs. Thank you, Cathy.
Mike Hughes, Exalted Ruler

From the House Committee………
In November we will be wrapping up the re-pipe of the North side of the building. We had a water leak in the slab and the Lodge decided to re-pipe that section of the building.
We have a brand new member that is helping George out in the kitchen and his name is Duey Peters. Make sure you come by and check out his cooking on Sundays.
We have a new member to the House committee: the ER has appointed Jean Tetta. Please make her feel welcome
In the lounge, we will have Bands performing from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays. See the calendar for further information.
