Parish Mission With Roxane Salonen on March 2 & 3
Make plans to attend our Parish Mission on Mon-day, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3, from 7:00-8:00 PM each night. This year’s Parish Mission will feature Roxane Salonen. She is well-known as a faith-writer for the Forum, as well as for her Side-walk Stories column in the Diocese of Fargo’s New Earth publication. She will speak about surrender-ing to Divine Grace and how she has learned to do that while spending time praying on the sidewalk in front of the abortion clinic. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend both nights of this inspiring talk!

GOD’S GIFT APPEAL Next weekend, February 22-23, is Commitment Weekend for the 2020 God’s Gift Appeal. Please bring the personalized commitment card you received in the mail to Mass with you and drop it in the collection basket, as we join together to support our Catholic Church. LENTEN PRAYER STUDY Have you ever said “I don’t get anything out of prayer,” or “God doesn’t talk to me?” Is your prayer filled with requests or is it a conversation with God? Commit time this Lent learning how to pray so you can hear God’s voice. St. Anthony’s will be offering a 6 week study, “Lectio: Prayer” that teaches 5 steps of the Lectio Divina form of prayer. Since prayer is so important in our walk with God, classes will be offered on Sunday mornings after the 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM Masses and Thursdays at 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM. We will also be offering it through Facebook. Sign up in St. Francis Gathering Space the next three weekends for whichever time best suits you. Even if you don’t like group studies, you can do it on your own or with your family, as it is available on Formed.org. Make this the Year of Prayer in your life! “Come, Holy Spirt!” *If you haven’t checked out Formed.org yet, do so today with our parish code of H6D6VP! LITURGY COMMITTEE IS LOOKING FOR MEMBERS! The Liturgy Committee is looking for a few good people to join us. Do you have a special interest in what happens at Mass? Would you like to become more immersed in the liturgical year? Do you have a desire to learn more about the rich history and treasure trove of liturgical music, prayers, and practices? If this is sparking interest for you, please contact Melissa through the Parish Office. WALKING TOWARD ETERNITY BIBLE STUDY In our busy lives we are faced with obstacles that aggravate us, discourage us, and even hinder our relationship with Christ. How do we overcome these obstacles, and hear God’s voice in our lives? Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart, the second series in the Walking Toward Eternity program, can open our eyes to obstacles in our Christian walk. Join us for Walking Toward Eternity: Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart beginning February 10 at 7:00 PM and continuing every Monday through March 30, upstairs in the Mother Cabrini Room. For more information or to register for the study, call Diane Herding at 701-793-4021 or via email: [email protected] STUDY ON THE BIBLE AND CHURCH FATHERS Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to grow in your faith? Join us on Wednesdays, from 6:30-7:45 PM, in the Mother Cabrini Room as we study The Bible and the Church Fathers. It will teach you everything you need to know about how the Bible took form. You’ll learn powerful tools for reading it, and you’ll understand Scripture’s relationship to Tradition and, in particular, to the sacraments. Make plans to attend!

SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER Is God calling you to the Secular Franciscan Order? The rule and life of the Secular Franciscan is to observe the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by following the example of St. Fran-cis of Assisi. Secular Franciscans live in the world, and their primary sphere of activity and influence is in the ordinary events of daily life: in their families, communities, workplaces, and parishes. We are off to a good start here in the Fargo area, with the enthusiastic approval and blessing of Bishop John Folda, and with for-mation assistance from the Secular Franciscan Order Fraternity in Grand Forks. But, remember, the foundation of stewardship is prayer. When we are in close communication with God, it opens our heart and it turns our attention away from “me” and moves it towards God and others. When we pray for others, even “our enemies”, maybe it softens their hearts as well.
