Note 40: LAW 798 - Travel to Switzerland over spring break 2020 to gain exposure to the foundational principles of international tax law. Two weekend lectures (dates TBD, streamed online for non-SU students), plus travel to Europe for 9 days over spring break. Class size is limited to 20 students. Students who enroll in this course must participate in both the Syracuse and European portions of the program. Any LL.M. student, second- year or third-year J.D. residential law student, or J.D. interactive (Class of 2022) student in good academic standing may enroll. Any SU graduate student, subject to home academic department and College of Law approvals, may enroll. Note 41: Students can choose either to (i) write a research paper that meets the writing requirement; or (ii) write a series of shorter papers that do not satisfy the writing requirement. Note 44: The course frames its study of International Law in terms of global human rights issues and challenges.
