43 YEARSEleanor’s Walk for HOPE is now in its 43rd year and will

bring thousands of men, women and children of every

race, religion, class and status together to walk the streets

of Detroit in support of diversity, opportunity and equality

in southeastern Michigan. The four mile walk/run is a

reminder of those whose footsteps we follow in and the

distance that remains to be traveled to eliminate poverty

and racism in our community.

together, we can “build a metropolitan community

where all people may live in freedom, harmony, trust

and affection.” YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. We

Food: Our food program provides 41,000 low-income

seniors with monthly food packages to assist with

independence, healthy living and addressing basic needs.

Careers: With an extraordinary record of success in

working with underserved individuals in the Detroit/

Southeastern Michigan community, we offer high-quality

work readiness, pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship

programs in a range of in-demand career fields.

Community: The HOPE Village Initiative is breaking the

cycle of generational poverty impacting the community

around Focus: HOPE by providing quality education for

children and families, creating economic opportunities for community members and transforming the environment.
