SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PROGRAM Week 10 My tiny body contains all the organs an adult has. My kidneys are working and my stomach is producing digestive juices. Yum! Yum! My heart has been beating for a month now. The number of muscles working in response to my nervous system has tripled since last week. My body is growing stronger as my cartilage becomes bone. Get ready Mommy and Daddy! Some day these bones and muscles will work together so you can chase me around the playground! Only God could create someone as remarkable as me! Please keep praying!

March 24, 2013 Dear Parishioners, Palm Sunday begins Holy Week and celebrates Jesus' ride into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jewish believers waved palm branches as Jesus rode toward town and laid clothing and palm leaves on the ground for him to ride on as the people
greeted him happily and recognized him as the Messiah. The story can be found in all four Gospels. The passages include Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12: 12-15. Fr. Mark
Easter Food Basket Blessing – March 30 There is a custom in Poland for families to bring baskets of food to church to be blessed by the priest on Holy Saturday. We have continued this custom here at Holy Family. There will be a blessing of food for the Easter meal on Sat. March 30 at 12 Noon (Holy Saturday). The baskets usually contain colored eggs (that symbolize life, spring, and the Resurrection), sausage or ham (that represents the passion of Christ), bread or Babka (that represents Christ, who is the bread of life), horseradish (representing the passion of Christ), salt (symbolizing prosperity), and butter (that represents good will).
ALTAR & ROSARY SOCIETY MEMORIAL EASTER PLANTS
The Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring a program whereby families may purchase a Mum or Easter Lily plant to be placed on the altar in memory of a loved one during the Easter Season. The Easter Vigil Mass will be offered for those remembered in this special way. The donation is $10. Parishioners are invited to use the envelope included in your monthly mailer or envelopes are also available at all church entrances.

On this day of great rejoicing,
Lord Jesus Christ, when we welcome you as our
King and Savior, we also walk in the shadow
of Your cross. Hosanna! We cry.
Blessed are You who comes in God’s name to save us.
Hosanna! Strengthen our faith on this Palm Sunday
so that when the time comes to carry the cross we might still call out
to You with heartfelt praise. Give us the grace and the courage
to follow You This Holy Week
from death to resurrection, from darkness
to the fullness of light. We need You, O Jesus Christ, our
Savior. Hosanna! Amen.
