    FORCEBATTLESA few people have asked us to clarify the way that forcebattles work. These ale actually fairly simple and, onceyou've got the idea, you won't have any problem with them.ForceCardsMany of drepsychiccardshave a coloured con n the botlomdght comer- this s the force lcon and t hasdte samecolourandsymbolasone of fte fortrpsychicsuits.Cardswift oneofthese cons are known asforce cards, Aura cards ale alsoforcecards they count as orce cardsagainstdleir own suit(ie the suit shownby the main con in the top eft comer).The

    When a pslker is the target of a psychic attackhe can use aforce card to block the attack. He simply lays down a cardwith a force icon of the samecolour ss the attacking card'ssuit - so a Psionic card is dispelled by a force card with theyellow Psionicsymbol n the bouom right comer.Playingaforce card ike ftis completelydispels he attack soneiftr thepsykernor any othermodels are affected.Force BattlesA force batde represents achpsyker throwing extsaenergyinto apsychicauackor defence.Whoever ays down the mostcardshasunleashedhe mostpsychicenergyand wins thebattle.The two psyke$ take t in tum to lay down force cards.Theone who lays down the ast card wins. If it's the anacker0lepsychicanack akesplaceas normal. If it's the defender,hispsychic defenceshaveproved too srong and the attack sdispelled.

It doesn't matter which way the Space Madnepassing the object or the Space Marine receiving it are facing.The only restriction on this is that you can't pass somelhingacrossa blocked diagonal.Note that you can only pass objects when the mission briefingsays so. Normally, you can't pass weapons or grenades, orexample.From which squares can a model open a door?A model can open a door if the door square is in any of themodel's ftont tkee squares- the three shaded squares in thediagram below.
