Specialist Dietitian Langbaurgh House - Specialist Weight Management (South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) Salary: £26,302 - £35,225 pro-rata Hours Per Week: 7.5 hours per week Job Type: Fixed term Reference: 328-CD-0066 Closing Date: 24 Jun 2016 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time dietitian to join the Specialist Weight Management Service (SWMS) and increase their skills and experience in this rapidly growing specialty. The SWMS is a Tier 3 MDT service consisting of Consultant Endocrinologists, a GP with Specialist Interest, Clinical Psychologists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Health Trainers. Since its beginning approximately 10 years ago the SWMS has grown quickly and now provides a Tier 3 service to the areas of Hartlepool, Stockton-On-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Whitby, Hambleton and Richmondshire. This new post comes as a result of additional CCG funding due to increased referrals to the SWMS which is a testament to the success and popularity of the service. The successful applicant will be responsible for running the SWMS dietetic service at one of the community venues and may also be required to provide cover at other venues. The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in the NHS as a dietitian and possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic paediatric Audiologist to join our busy team. This individual will also be the Deputy Clinical Lead for Paediatric Audiology, so the role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their leadership skills and have some management responsibility, maybe as a stepping stone to more senior management roles or for those wishing to have a mix of management and clinical responsibilities. Our paediatric audiology services are comprehensive and audiology led. We carry out over 3,800 paediatric appointments each year. We provide a routine and specialist service, from tier 2 community clinics and 8 month targeted screening, to assessment of children with complex needs, management of tinnitus in children and management of a number of children with ANSD. Paediatric habilitation is provided to all ages from newborn babies through to transition to the adult service. We are fortunate to have our clinics well equipped with all services being provided in soundproof facilities with AC / BC / insert VRA, and transient otoacoustic emissions as a minimum. We also have a range of more specialist equipment to include the HearLab aided cortical system and video VRA. We have a particular emphasis on quality with regular peer review and patient surveys. Current research interests include management of unilateral hearing loss. We need someone who is able to step into a varied clinical role carrying out the full range of paediatric work including ABR, diagnosis of hearing loss, habilitation and assessment. However, we can offer support to develop leadership and management skills if this required. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Audiology, and be part of the Leadership Team for the service so can get involved in other areas across Audiology. You will line manage a small team of staff and have responsibility for one or more sub-sections of the service, as well as opportunities to get involved in audit and research.
