2014 SFPGA Junior Tour

Wellington native Anthony Gabriele has strung together one of the best seasons on the South Florida PGA Junior Tour in recent memory. Gabriele has competed in 6 events in 2014, 5 of which he has won. One of the most impressive parts of this season is the stats he is posting. Gabriele has a scoring average of 69.1 on the season, which includes 46 birdies and 5 rounds in the 60’s.

The biggest win of Gabriele’s season came in June when he won the South Florida Junior PGA Championship which qualified him for the National Junior PGA Championship last month in Byran, Texas. Gabriele made the trip out to Texas to compete in one of the biggest junior events in the country which featured

the top junior golfers from all over the world. Gabriele went on to make the cut and finished T27, +4 for the tournament. Just two days after competing in one of the biggest events of his career, Gabriele returned to South Florida and entered Championship Event #9 at The Polo Club of Boca Raton. While some may be worn out from playing in a

national tournament days prior, Gabriele went out and shot 68-65 to win the tournament by seven stokes.

Gabriele will enter the Fall Series with a 400 point lead in the player of the year race with only 4 events remaining.
