CONCEPT OF UNITY IN DIVERSITY:It is roots reach back hundreds of years in non-western cultures such as indigenous peoples in North America and to its societies in a 100-5000 B.C.

It is based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, linguistic, social, religious, political, ideological and psychological differences towards a more complex unity.

Based on an understanding that difference enriches human interactions.

It promote learning and skills, knowledge and values to the students.

CONCEPT OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION :Its roots are the work of African American scholars who established the National Association for the Study of Negro Life and History in 1915 to focus on the history and culture of African Americans.

Culture are the universal and expecting other people to adopt the prospective of the dominant culture.

It provide cultural diversity and equality in school.

Knowledge and skills for working effectively in diverse society.

Equality ensure that students are provided the same access to the benefits of society regardless of their group memberships.

How it promote Multicultural Education:Education must become more fully student centered and implicitly of the voice and experiences of a student.

The school should be models for the expression of human rights and respect for cultural differences.

Teacher must be prepared to effectively facilitate learning for every individual students.

Teachers must be understood different cultures and closely related to the different cultures.

Multicultural content, goals and activities, interest with subject specific curricular standards.

Curricular must be relevant.

Teacher should be responsible for arranging different cultural programs.

Student must have an equal opportunity to achieve to his/her full potential.

CONCEPT OF MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION:

Multilingual education typically refers to “first language first” education that is schooling which begins in the mother tongue and transition to additional language.

Typically MLE programme suited in developing countries where speakers of minority languages tend to be disadvantaged in the mainstream educational system.

Two or more language used as medium of instruction.

How it promote multilingual education:

Increasing enrollment in school

Emphasis to local culture

Develop awareness on education

Bridge the gap between home language and school language

Bringing improvement in curricular designing

CONCEPT OF EQUITY IN EDUCATION:

Equity means fairness.

It is based on principle of fairness and justice in allocating, resources, opportunity, treatment and success for every student.

It is based on the need of the students or person.

Educational equity are 2 types such as horizontal and vertical equity.
