Social Media is good for business
Fiona McGuire
You are already familiar with……
But don’t forget……
5 reasons you should use social media
1. Social media impacts on search engines
If any of your future business will come through a google search or your website, then social media is inextricably linked to your future success.
One of the most important and significant changes search engines have made to deliver meaningful and personal results is to incorporate social media results as part of the validation process for content.
To be part of this, you need to be creating content. Establishing authority of your product or service on the web through your social media content will dramatically help to improve your businesses search rankings over time.
2. Facebook Users will be your customers
Facebook is the largest media entity in history.
The amount of searchs on Facebook has been rising dramatically, and Facebook’s new search engine development will further increase this trend.
People are using Facebook to find and connect with goods, services, companies, and brands.
3. Social Proof
When we looked for information on goods and services, we used to just look at websites to help us make decisions.
Increasingly we now use twitter and facebook to determine which goods or services we should be using.
The number of Twitter followers and number of Facebook Likes plays a significant role in how people perceive businesses.
4. Your Competitors
If your competitors are using social media sites then you better be as well.
If not people will think there is something wrong as you will be noticeable by being absent
(Having social sharing buttons on your website is the new trade show.)
5. Social media is the future of communications
Nearly half of Americans under the age of 21 cites Facebook as their primary source of news.
The social web is where the next generation is going to connect, learn, and discover.
