BENEFITS OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR SOCIAL INTERACTION
The technological advances so far have given Humans the tools to: § Communicate fast and efficiently, the whole world is effectively at
one’s “finger-tips”. § Travel fast and efficiently across continents, the whole world is now a
“small family”. § Do business across continents more efficiently through effective
communication and travel. § Be in constant touch with your near and dear ones through “live”

DOWNSIDES OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR SOCIAL INTERACTION

• Reduction in physical interaction “face-time”, sense, touch and Inter-personal communication giving false feeling of togetherness.
• Friendships through social networking sites could lead to “Insincere friendships” giving false feeling of companionship and bondage, ultimately leaving one lonely and stressed.

SOCIAL INTERACTION IN 10 YEARS
The future will see further advancement in technological influence on social interaction: • Wearable smart electronics will take the lead to keep you informed and
connected “on the go”. e.g.: Google’s project glass. • Devices will get smaller, smarter, faster, and will be able to analyze information
before recommendation to suit personal preference. • Artificial intelligence will play a vital role in technological application for social
interaction and other ways of communication. • Platforms for social interaction will see a cut-throat competition – survival of
the fittest. • New laws governing “Internet ethics” for social interaction will be put in
place. • However, Humans will still depend on one of their basic five senses
“touch and feel” for social interaction in the years to come. Nevertheless they would also realize the importance of “physical interaction” and the role it plays in their daily life.
