Founded in 2002
Our operation is based on the law and a
co-operation agreement done in the
Metropolitan area
A part of HUS – The Hospital District of
Helsinki and Uusimaa since year 2014

• 11 Centres of Excellence on Social
Welfare, the network covers whole Finland
• Each centre is expert of local needs,
networks and development in the social
sector
• The common network is a strong actor in
national level

What we do?
Develop social welfare services in the Metropolitan
area (common interests of cities, focus on urban
problems)
