• How have TV and movie stars changed the values and beliefs that societies hold? How are customs changed based on them?
• How have reality and family shows on TV changed the time society has to socialize and be with one another?
• How have the i-Pod and other MP3 players affect one’s interaction with others? Are people more social? If one had headphone are people afraid to bother and socialize with them?
• How have society treated those wearing headphones differently compared to those not wearing headphones? Does wearing headphones send a message to society?
• Why does wearing designer clothing help improve one’s status in society compared to one not wearing designer clothing?
• How do “sex appeal” advertisements in clothing affect and change the values of one’s bodies and sex in society?
• In an area with no chain stores, just mom-and-pop stores, how does a chain-store, such as Wal-Mart, coming into the area affect local business?
• How have society changed when competing stores are located near each other? How have societies benefited from this? How have societies been harmed by this?
• How have fast food restaurants, such as Wendy’s, affect the diet of society?
• How have fast-food affected societies dinner time, the time when the family sit down at the kitchen table and eat a meal together?
• Having this couch, does it make one become more socially outcast from the quality of the couch?
• Are individuals spending more time home alone than out with friends?
• How have cell phones, both phone calls and text messaging, changed ways of communication between one another in society?
• How have text messaging language (using “r” instead of “are” ) influenced the written language in the society?
• How do religious values and beliefs influence the law in societies?
• How do we as a society decide what is right and wrong?
• How has the train helped improved relationships between different subgroups in society?
• How has the train reflected the amount of money governments are spending on pubic transportation?
• Why this design for a library? If a different design is selected would it help attract more people?
• What does this library tell about the society values?
• How much money does society place on watches and why do some society place more value on them then other societies?
• How have the value of being on schedule change from culture to culture? Does some culture not value being on time?
NOTE:I have more than 20 questions. I have a few extra questions in case some
are bad or in case I can get any extra credit. Also I went to the writing center on 2/18/2008, to go over questions and I will give you your
copy of the writing center slip in class on Wed. 2/20/2008.
