SIM MODULES A Subscriber identity Module card (SIM) is a small integrated circuit in the form of a smartcard composed of a plastic card body and a module holding the contact pads and the Microcontroller. Our products are sold as modules assembled and packaged in reels, ready to be embedded into SIM, Micro SIM or Nano SIM cards.

SIM browsing technology allows mobile operators to provide highly personalized services. It is an alternative to Static SIM Toolkit applications with fixed pre-installed menus to provide dynamic menus generated on the fly by a remote server. Such functionality is generally referred as SIM browser.

Two browsers are currently available, the Wireless Internet Browser (WIB) which was the first successful browser released and promoted on the market by SmartTrust. In 2009 the SIM alliance defined an alternative browser named the S@T browser.

Livescreen Media is an application allowing content broadcasting directly on the handset screen when the phone is in idle mode. This is a very efficient way for operators willing to increase value added services consumption. The message appears silently, without any intrusion to deliver personalized content. Upon viewing the content, the user needs just two clicks to “perform” a transaction.

Card Designer is a tool allowing you to design the profile of any SIM card. In a standard process, the Card Designer user will choose the OS to be used for the card (e.g. 64K Java 2G only, 128K Java 2G/3G, 32K 2G native …). Based on this selection, the Card Designer user will then be able to create easily the files system, install the needed GSM applications (USIM, UICC, SIM, RFM etc..), load and install his specific applications (IMEI Tracker, STK etc…). Once the profile is ready the Card Designer user is then able to produce one or several sample cards in order to test the profile before starting a BAP production.

The Optimizer is an application which is used to generate the optimized scripts at user side. Scripts are generated for the static content of the card batch (i.e. the contents that are equal for all cards to be produced) to get it fast enough to have maximum personalization throughput. The Optimizer makes use of a special card that can simulate the card to be able to execute APDU scenarios and get access to the NVM Memory dump. Optimizer is closely linked to the Card Designer tool as it is using the output files generated by Card Designer.
