The Cheonggyecheon River, located in central Seoul, is a 7 mile body of water that has recently been recovered under a once highway overpass. After the cities revitalization, there remains a 25’ disconnect between the street/sidewalk level, and the river’s edge. The scope of the project was to create access from street to river at one major intersection along the river as well as provide urban intervention along the river banks.

Redesigned from the Iconic Eero Saarinen and Charles Eames’ “Organic High Back Chair”, the E5a Lounge was built with comfort in mind. Shock mounts were used between the bent strap and the back rest to create a give to the body to shape anyone enjoying the chair. The organic quality of the arms, seat pan, and back rest allow the form to accept the body in a beautiful way.

Located along the French Broad River, the Asheville Culinary Arts School utilizes the land of a local park to bring the community together. This school is host to a variety of community events through the farmers market court yard, large outdoor amphitheater, and a fine dining experience where the culinary students are put to test their skills.

SoHo is a Lower Manhattan neighborhood known for its art and design, wide variety of stores, and artist’ lofts. Just as New York City expanded, the grid of the city never broke. In Collaboration with senior fashion design student, Kat Sommovigo, the Gridded Elegance, a fashion house for her collection, was designed as a statement for New York’s structured grid.

Providing a catalyst for regrowth in an underutilized part of Savannah, this multi-generational housing allows an array of people to come together and form a community that thrives and learns off each generation. The mixed use building encompases a daycare and community garden, while a residential component assures the building’s occupancy 24/7.
