Skega Modular Mill Trommels
Skega Modular Mill TrommelsMill Trommels are used as scalping and/ or sizing screens in connection with grinding mills.
The Mill Trommels are built up with modular trommel screen panels with snap-on design. The panels are 24 x 12 inches with a wide range of slots and square holes. It is available in rubber or polyurethane. Adapters, if required, are installed between mill trunnion and trommel.
The frame is a welded steel structure covered with vulcanized rubber or polyurethane to protect the steel structure from abrasion. It is designed against fatigue using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
The Modular Mill Trommels are available in sizes from inner diameter 1500 mm and larger. We can also off er a variety of diff erent types of smaller size trommels.
For installation fl exibility one spiral is bolted to each screen panel.

Over the years we have designed and manufactured a large
number of Mill Trommels. Consequently, we have long experi-ence and know-how to engineer Mill Trommels both from structural strength and capacity points of view.
Installation/Service
The simple installation and removal of the snap-on system design reduces down-time.
There is no need to remove the trommel housing covers. The panels are installed or replaced from the inside of the trommel.
