The principles behind SIVAM Surface

Heaters are very simple.

An electric heater must be

suitable to withstand

hydrocarbon pressure conditions,

provide the calories to increase

the temperature, with the

required flow rates. In addition

its trim has to be suitable for the

physical properties of the fluid,

to work safely and with adequate

reliability.

Heavy crude oil transportation in the oil industry can present operational

problems in a well production system, mainly due to the dramatic

increase of viscosity consequence of the temperature decrease from the

reservoir to the surface, and along the surface flow-line.

The system uses electrical resistances fed by an external source of electricity to heat the surface oil.

The crude oil passing through the pipecoil will increase its temperature up to 20°-30° C from the inlet

temperature.

The pressure rating of the unit can be customized according to customer’s request, up to 5000 PSI.

Application

Hot-oil Application:

Beside the usual application

for a better flow of oil in the surface,

our units are also used for what is called

Hot oiling:

Heating up the oil produced at the surface

and then re-injecting part of it into the

well to increase downhole oil

temperature,

Thus elimanting asphaltene, wax,

hydrates and scaling.

By installing a standard capillary string

connected to the outlet part of the unit,

that will go right into the completion,

avoiding the needs of Heating cables and

cable injectiors.

Reducing costs and space requirement on

the wellhead.

control, easier to install, and much more

performant.

build the heaters with safety and reliability.

Now our Standard Units have a range of Power

capacity from 55 kw to 365 kw

Our systems can be

supplied for Class I,

Division 2 or ATEX Zone 1

locations.
