September 1356: Edward the Black Prince, embodiment of the chivalric ideal, has led an expedition into France in the wake of a broken truce. His force is confronted at Poitiers:

“Then ensued a terrible contest of men armed with lances, swords, and axes; nor did the archers fail in their duty ... the crossbowmen also shooting rapidly and heavily ...”

Imagine you are rushed together in the onslaught of battle. There are four of you to a group: three long-bows and one crossbow or Forester. You may not know your colleagues, or perhaps the archer next to you is your bitterest rival from a neighboring barony. But now you must work together to win through!

Celebrate The Coronation of Their Royal Majesties Dag and AnneMarie with morning and afternoon archery activities in a historic context.
