It truly is gratifying to have the opportunity to write this and prepare for a sale after the obstacles that 2020 threw at us. These same obstacles have proven the resiliency of our industry and has amplified the importance of where our food comes from and we are more than proud to contribute to an industry that puts food on the tables of so many. On behalf of the entire Bull Fest group, we are excited to welcome you to the 16th annual Bull Fest sale. Each year, our goal is to assemble a set of bulls for every type of cattle operation and we believe we have done just that. You will find yourself looking at full bloods, reds, blacks, power bulls with performance, and heifer bulls with high calving ease numbers as you flip through our catalog—and all of these boys are ready to go to work! We hope to see you all on sale day to view the animals and enjoy lunch and refreshments with us, however, we understand that some may not feel comfortable attending the sale in person. So please come by any of our operations, tour our animals and talk cows with us beforehand. We also encourage you to utilize the Bohrson Marketing team and trust in their services and opinions, as the team has walked all of our bullpens and can offer an unbiased opinion and help you source your next herd bull. This group of bulls has been semen tested, had breeding soundness exams as well as a clean bill of health by certified veterinarians. As stated every year, the Bull Fest group prides ourselves in 100% customer satisfaction. Semen Testing: All bulls selling at the sale over the age of 12 months will be semen tested by a certified veterinarian.

100% Guarantee:All bulls are guaranteed to be satisfactory breeders in ac-cordance with CSA guidelines. Bull Development & Delivery:The Bull Fest group will take yearling bulls back to the farm and keep bulls free of charge until April 1st. All buyers must insure the bulls if being returned to the consignor’s farm.

Option A:Bulls can be picked up at Camrose on sale day and a $100 discount will be deducted from the purchase price.

Option B:Bulls can return to the farm and will be delivered up to 200km at no charge at a convenient time for both the seller and buyer. Points beyond 200km will be at cost.

Option C:Bulls can return to the farm and be picked up at the buyer’s convenience.

EPDs do not compare across cattle breeds. They are individual based per breed. EPDs indicate a probable variance above or below breed average for that trait for a given bull’s progeny. 96 rings a bell at South Seven. A few years ago we sold a bull with the tattoo STU 96Z. His name became Stuey. It may be a coincidence, but STU 96H has everything going for him. His name is LOCKDOWN. Polled, full fleckvieh, solid red to the hoof and as dark as we have ever raised. One of the highest adjusted weaning and yearling weights of all the bulls. He’s also loose hided and moves out freely. His ten year old dam has an excellent udder and is sound footed. Welcome to the 2021 edition of Bull Fest. This is the most uniform and even set of bulls we’ll be bringing to Camrose in a long time and they are mainly sired by our walking herd bulls Polled Power, Adonis, Sonny and Escalade. All sale bulls have been grown out on a TMR ration that consists of Bullseye bull developer at one percent of body weight, combined with cereal silage and ground second cut hay. 119H and 307H are embryo calves out of the LRX Cheyenne donor whose calves have been sold across Canada, in the US, as well as Australia. Her full sibling embryos have brought up to $1800 per embryo and we are excited to market these calves this spring. When all was said and done we were left with these two bull calves and an awesome front pasture heifer that we will be retaining within the herd. 119H and 307H are powerful calves in their make up that present with that dark hair coat, a strong foot, and more than enough muscle expression through their top and hip. Over the past few years we have really focused on using and building high quality females to make up our bull pen; two full brothers are another example of these. 54H is one of the first two calves to sell of our Rafter 4T Redemption herdsire. Redemption was part of our show string in the fall of 2018 and went on to win bull calf champion at Farmfair. The Redemption calves have all come with excellent hair, strong bone and foot structure, and that extra hip muscling. As an added bonus 54H comes with a blaze that should add some extra eye appeal to his off spring.

131H is the second of two Redemption calves we will bring for auctions this spring. He is patterned very similar to his half-brother, 54H. This calf carries a dark red, attractive blaze appearance in a more moderate framed package. 131H goes back to one of our fullblood cows which will enhance the maternal and milk genes.

37H is a high performing son out of our KOP Esposito herdbull who has since gone into retirement. This son of his is real deep bodied with tons of muscle expression through hip and lower third with solid bone structure. One really has to admire the capacity of this calf. His yearling weight adjusted to 1449 and is definitely one that will add performance to any herd. He carries a docile personality with plenty of hair. His dam is another real productive female in our herd. Since coming into production, she has registered every calf that we have either kept as a replacement female or sold through this bull sale; there is no guess work here.

Here is a really strong performing Bryk son with an excellent color patter that comes in a polled package. 42H leads another strong group of sons out of our Blackgold Bryk herdsire who has calved exceptionally well adding body dimension, color, and muscle to our fullblood cattle. This calf goes back to our strong 402 cow family. There would be more bulls and females registered out of this cow lineage than any other on the farm. If you like your bulls with tons of body capacity, thickness, and muscle, then this one is for you.

402H is another Bryk son with lots of stoutness and depth of rib that carries a hairy, dark colored phenotype; something common in many of our Bryk sired calves. 402H stems from the same strong cow family as our lead off 42H bull which is an example of the consistency and performance of the 402 cow family. In addition, this calf carries strong milking and maternal epd’s which should be an insight into the strong set of replacement females he will leave his new owners.

This Bryk son is one of the higher performing calves in our fullblood offering. Adjusting to 1434 at yearling and gaining almost 4 lbs a day since weaning, 28H is a bull that will help put pounds on your calves come fall. Carrying a dark pigmented color, strong footed, and heavy muscled profile that comes in a polled package, 28H will be able to add some extra punch and power to your calves.

76H’s dam, Brock Attraction 76U was one of our foundation females when we first started breeding fullblood cattle.
