thoughtfully designed, and plentiful.

Category A (Class 1) performance allows pilots to continue safe flight

in the event of engine failure at any point in the journey. The S‑92

helicopter’s fuel system is self‑contained and meets the highest

crashworthiness standards to minimize the probability of a post

crash fire. Energy‑absorbing seats and landing gear are designed to

minimize the effects of a hard landing.

The aircraft’s array of safety features also includes redundant systems,

flaw tolerance, and ice, lightning, HIRF, and bird‑strike protection.

With a multitude of state‑of‑the‑art safety features, this is a helicopter

you can fly with peace of mind and total confidence.

The aircraft fuel system with main fuel tanks located in the external sponsons, meets the highest FAA/JAA certification standards and is designed to isolate fuel from cabin and prevent fuel spray.

Certified to the highest FAA/JAA standards for crash loads the S‑92 Helicopter includes crashworthy seating for both cabin passengers and cockpit crew.


The Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) system continuously monitors critical systems throughout the aircraft and permits post flight data analysis capable of detecting worn or damaged components prior to exceeding maximum tolerance or failure.

Operations over water are made possible via an optional aircraft flotation and emergency life raft system. Certified for ditching into sea states as high as 6, the S‑92 can launch under the harshest of sea conditions.

The S‑92 Helicopter is available with emergency exit lighting to facilitate egress.

The S‑92 Helicopter was the first Helicopter certified by the FAA for flight into known icing conditions providing true all weather operation.

S-92 EXECUTIVE COnFIgURaTIOn and OPTIOnS

The S ‑92 helicopter features two General Electric CT7‑8A turboshaft engines with integral particle separator and pneumatic starting system. In addition, the aircraft includes a Honeywell 36‑150 auxiliary power unit for on the ground or in the air emergency power.

The main rotor system is a four‑bladed fully articulated system, designed to meet the FAA flaw tolerance standards. The basic avionics package features Rockwell Collins Proline Communication and Navigation Radios, four portrait‑oriented Multi‑functional Display (MFD) units, and two Display Control Panels (DCP) units, which control the navigation mode selection and provide adjustment of the reference parameters. The

aircraft includes a digital automatic flight control system and a coupled flight director.

Underscoring Sikorsky Aircraft’s commitment to safety, the basic S‑92 helicopter includes Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Weather Radar and Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS).

The basic fuel of 760 gallons (2877 liters) is stored in two external sponsons with self‑sealing breakaway valves.
