A room may only have three dimen sions, but it has countless different perspectives. Our philosophy: to consistently find new solutions that change people‘s perception of a room and their relationship with this space.

RoomsIn the past, rooms had specific functions: kitchen, hallway, bathroom. But times change, and so do the demands placed on rooms. Living spaces have become more open and accessible, with a kitchen now being used as living room, and a living room transforming into a home office. SIEGENIA tackles these functional changes with intelligent solutions. From ventilators that automatically regulate air quality to large sliding elements that can be controlled using an app and connect a room with the outside world – we’ve always been as flexible as these spaces themselves.

TechnologyIn our high-tech world, it’s important to make sure that technology solves more problems than it creates. Room comfort is a forward- thinking concept that offers a number of complex functions. However, the solutions do not have to be complex, but intuitive and easy to use. That’s why we never forget the importance of an individual’s relation-ship with a room. Room comfort is designed to improve quality of life and add intrinsic value to buildings.

PeopleThe relationship between an individual and a room should be effort-less. Rooms should meet our needs – rather than us meeting theirs. This is the concept behind Universal Design. Rooms should be com-patible with everyone: whether they are big or small, young or old, or have physical limitations. Window systemsMost people think of windows and sliding elements as simply glass and frames, but what about the technology, the hardware itself? This is the heart and brain of a window. The hardware also holds the key to long-lasting security and energy efficiency, smooth running and easy accessibility. All of these features have a significant influence on room comfort – they are in our framework. We’ve been doing this for more than 100 years, and we’ve constantly improved along the way. Systematically.

Door systemsYou can experience room comfort even when you leave the house. Doors close perfectly and you’ll be able to hear the automatic locking system. Or you come back home laden with shopping and the door opens automatically. By equipping our doors with intelligent locking and access control systems, room comfort has been taken to a new dimension.

Energy efficiencyOur window hardware provides comprehensive insulation to guarantee the highest levels of energy efficiency. An intelligent ventilator inside our windows ensures that hot air is not wasted. The AEROMAT VT with heat recovery creates a healthy indoor climate by simultaneously replacing exhausted air with preheated fresh air. Room comfort that breathes.

ComfortCan you hear room comfort? A window with SIEGENIA hardware slides into its frame like the door of a luxury car. Can you feel room comfort? The handles on our hardware can be mounted on a window frame, allowing flexibility of positioning. For example, they can be mounted lower down for people in wheelchairs. Can you see room comfort? Windows and sliding elements open and close thanks to concealed, self-powered drives. You see: room comfort can be enjoyed with all your senses.

SecurityIt’s nice to look out of large windows and sliding elements, but they also provide an easy access point. Therefore security is a top priority when constructing our window fittings. Featuring specially designed, tamper-proof bolts that cannot be prised open, RC3 offers the highest security standards to meet all requisite requirements. In addition, by using the iWindow app, customers have a reliable control and monitoring system to hand, which helps prevent break-ins and is acces sible anytime and anywhere.

The question is not “Who is at the door?” The question is “What’s inside the door?” Equipped with advanced multi-point locks and intelligent entrance control systems, our modern doors ensure a high level of security and great ease of use.

ComfortIt’s hard work if large steel bolts and hooks are required on a door-frame to ensure high levels of security. The ease of our locking systems is a consistent source of fascination: either by key rotation, using the door handle, or automatically. Our doors can be locked simply by pushing them shut.

Accessibility To stay ahead of the curve, room comfort seeks to make continuous new developments. The KFVkeyless app allows you to open a door automatically using your smartphone. Or with the KFV GENIUS system, it’s possible to lock and unlock doors via fingerprint, inter -com or remote control. In this way, room comfort appeals not just to technophiles, but also the elderly or people with disabilities.

SecurityWhether highly secure doors make you feel calmer is subjective. However, doors that prevent burglary can be objectively judged. Burglars like a quick and easy job – and this is made almost impos-sible by multi-point locks. It would take too much time and make too much noise for a burglar to break through these locks, and their chances of success would be minuscule. Room comfort helps to prevent break-ins, giving you a sense of security.

Comfort systems Climate controlModern building envelopes are incredibly well insulated, thanks in part to our window and door hardware. As a result, ventilation has an increasingly important role. It’s healthy to breathe clean, dust- and pollen-free air, while it’s also important that buildings have the correct level of ventilation to ensure their value does not depreciate – for example by preventing damp and mildew. Our windows with integrated ventilators and standalone ventilation systems enable SIEGENIA to create room comfort that you can breathe.

Locking monitoringUnattended open windows are not only an invitation for burglars, but also a threat to your heating costs. Therefore, windows featuring our AEROCONTROL magnetic switch immediately connect to a building’s management system to integrate climate and heating controls. So if a window is open, radiators are switched off automatically.

Home automationIn the future, a smartphone or tablet will provide the central control elements for modern living. This is a future that SIEGENIA has helped to shape. Now doors, windows and ventilators can be controlled with our solutions and soon many more functions will be added to room comfort that can be controlled by your fingertips.
