5 PARTS OF PLOT1. ExpositionThe part of the plot that tells how the story

begins.

2. Rising Action (through Conflict)The action in the story leading up to the climax.

Types of Point of View

1.First Person - it is told by one of the characters in the

story who uses the pronouns “I”, “me”, “we” and “us”

2. Third Person- an outside narrator is telling the story;

uses the pronouns “he”, “she”, “they”.

a.Third- Person Omniscient - the narrator is “all-knowing” and able to see into the minds of ALL characters.

b.Third-Person Limited - the narrator perceives events only as

an observer or only through the eyes of ONE character.
