What is Shopify?

Shopify is platform for all e-Commerce web store that sell goods online.

It let allows you organize your products, customize your storefront, accept credit card payments, track and respond to orders.

All this is done with a one mouse click.

Liquid: It’s a template language for shopify user. Objects: Object means data that you can use in your store. Templates: Section/Page of your store is generated by a

template. Filters: It manipulate the output of objects of your store. Logic: Conditional liquid statements.

What is Liquid?

A template language used in Shopify themes. A bridge between templates and data. Allow themes to be agnostic and reusable. It is written in Ruby. It is the backbone of Shopify themes and is used to load

dynamic content on storefronts.

Liquid’s File extension

The liquid programmes can be saved as extension of (.liquid) Some of the important extensions in every programme are: index.liquid theme.liquid screen.css.liquid site.js.liquid

Liquid syntax

{{…}} denotes the output. {%....%} denotes the logic. Objects uses the dot syntax. Loops allow iteration over objects. Filters manipulate output. Logic controls output flow. Operators allow comparision.

Shopify like any off-the-shelf solution has it’s advantages: Fast launch time, it’s a really nice solution to try your idea fast. Affordable price. Can be launched without special programming skills. Much better UX/UI... for the right customer. Really good app integrations with SaaS services. Security & Reliability. Better loading speed.
