Welcome to the 25th anniversary edition of the True North Hospitality product guide. As a Canadian family owned and operated supplier, we are proud to have reached this milestone. When the company was founded by my father in 1992, it was created with very modest beginnings. The concept was relatively new at the time: A complete source of supplies for hotels and inns, allowing for a single shipment of products to their property. I still remember our family assembling one of the first editions of the buyer’s guide around the dining room table by hand. At that time, the pages were printed individually, and then assembled in a binder. All orders were received via our toll free number, fax, and in some cases by mail! There were challenges along the way, many I could have never anticipated. However after 17 years with True North, I finally feel that we haveachieved our original goal. A big thank you to our loyal customers for the tremendous support they have shown us from the beginning. We have witnessed substantial change over the years. The hospitality industry has grown significantly, and so have the requirements of each property. In addition, the rise of digital commerce has created new opportunities and challenges for the hospitality industry. TERMS OF SALEWe accept cheques, certified cheques, Visa, Mastercard and electronic transfer as payment of your invoice. Payment must be made in advance of shipping of your order unless you have open account status that is in good standing.

All customers seeking an open account must submit a Credit Application to our office. We will supply the form for your convenience, or download it from the FAQ section of our website.. Simply complete the Credit Ap-plication and return it to us by fax or email. In the absence of approval of your application, we will still process any order on a Cash in Advance, or Credit Card payment sale.

True North reserves the right to revoke or suspend open account status at our sole discretion. In this status, you may still place orders if payment is made in advance of shipment. Once your account is brought into cur-rent standing to the satisfaction of the True North credit department, you may re-apply for open account status at that time.

SPECIAL ORDERSTrue North reserves the right to request a minimum 50% pre-payment on special orders prior to shipment of the order at our discretion. Special orders include (but are not limited to) large quantity orders lamps and artwork. Custom orders are non-returnable. You will be required to sign approval of your order to verify its’ accuracy.

SHIPPING POLICYWe endeavour to ship all orders of in-stock products within 24 hours of the receipt of your confirmed order. Orders received after 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time or on Fridays may lapse into the next business day. Cou-rier shipments are generally received anywhere in Canada within 2 to 10 business days dependent on the proximity to our warehouse in Sarnia, Ontario. We will ship the in-stock portion of your order immediately and then follow-up with any back order if that should be necessary. If you wish to have your order held until it can be shipped complete, please direct us to do so at the point of order. Any custom order will result in a longer lead time. Please be sure to ask how long your order should take as these lead times may vary.

WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR ORDERThe law says you are responsible for all goods once you’ve signed for them so be sure that you:• confirm the carton count is correct• inspect all parcels for shipping damage• note any damage on the bill of lading before the driver leaves• call us immediately when you have a problem

RETURNSIf you decide that the product is unsatisfactory, call us and we will make arrangements with you to have the items picked up from your premises. We will credit your account for the goods. If True North has made an error we will assume all responsibilities for the shipping charges. However, if there has been an error on your part during the ordering process, all shipping charges will be your responsibility. True North retains the sole right to revoke any decisions made based on our determinations once the article(s) are returned to our premises (i.e. product neglect etc., which may be mediated by the manufacturer). Please note our policy for returns:• any product to be returned to us must be pre-approved by a True North customer service representative• products to be returned must be reported to us within 30 days of the invoice date• no unauthorized returns will be accepted, and will be refused at our premises• all liability for refused freight remain the responsibility of the shipper• a re-stocking fee may apply

CATALOGUE DISCREPANCIESTrue North Distributors reserves the right to correct any typographical error that may be found in any catalogue or flyer. Due to manufacturer variances, some products may not be exactly as pictured in the publication. Samples may be requested prior to an order. Pricing may also fluctuate as product vendor costs change.

Will my order be shipped the same day I place it?

95% of the products we offer are in stock and ready for immediate shipment.In most cases, your order will leave the day it is placed. Items such as drapery and bed-spreads are shipped from the manufacturer direct and may take 4-6 weeks for delivery.

What qualifies for free freight?

Most of our in stock items qualify for free freight on orders of $600 or more. Some items including bed frames are charged freight extra, as well as a number of other products which are shipped directly from the manufacturer. Some remote locations may not qualify for free freight.
