The Rivers flow North - People from the Shenandoah Valley refer to “going places” based on the direction of the Shenandoah River flow, at one time used as a major means of transportation. Someone in Staunton goes over to Waynesboro, up to Lexington and down to Winchester. So the naming of the three Shenandoah Music Trail regions reflects this tradition.Trail regions reflects this tradition.
