SHE SELLS SEASHELLS BY THE SEASHORE OF THE SEYCHELLES

Welcome to the Seychelles! An archipelago of 115 islands, most of them uninhabited, the Seychelles are about 930 miles from the African continent in the Indian Ocean.

The capital, Victoria, is located on the main island, Mahe, and is the base of the charter fleet.

The population of the Seychelles is about 100,000 and it is truly a multicultural society consisting mainly of Africans, Whites, Indians and Asians.

The country was discovered by the French and later became part of the British Empire, and after that, a member of the British Commonwealth. It became independent in 1976.

Main languages are English, French and Creole.

The country and surrounding sailing waters are absolutely safe.
