Chilled Water System

The Aircon Energy Saver can be installed to certain chilled water systems. When the control thermostat requires cooling the Aircon Energy Saver will analyse the performance of the chilled water and supply air temperature. It will close the chilled water valve when further chilling of the coil has no bene�cial e�ect on the supply air. A saving on cooling energy on each fan coil unit will reduce chiller run time thereby saving energy and cost.

The Aircon Energy Saver is simple and quick to install. It is an electronic, self learning, memory based, control. It constantly analyses the temperature transfer pro�les of the air and evaporator coil. Once the conditioned air has reached the point of energy transfer saturation (ie: it cannot get any colder) and achieves a constanttemperature, further refrigeration of the coil is innefective. The Aircon Energy Saver then controls the compressor to achieve a balance between maximum cooling e�ciency and minimal energy consumption. This reduces waste and maximises savings

Air-Conditioning accounts for between one quarter and one half of the total electrical consumption in most buildings. Due to variable weather and changing site conditions it is virtually impossible for air conditioning systems to operate at optimum e�ciency. In addition, standard design criteria is based on coping with extreme conditions and this normally results in oversized plant on all other occasions.

Typical air-conditioning systems operate continuously until the room thermostat is satis�ed. During this time it will run the compressor and produce greater cooling capacity than the air can absorb.

Refrigeration units usually work in a series of cycles monitoring air temperature to decide when to switch on or o�. However, air temperature rises quicker than that of food so refrigeration units end up working harder than necessary.

Endocube contains a cube of wax speci�cally formulated and certi�ed* to change temperature at the same rate as food, thus allowing it to monitor the food temperature and not the air.

Endocube then controls the compressor and only switches it on when needed. In turn, the refrigeration cycles are less frequent and longer lasting while food temperature is kept constant. This means less use of electricity, reduced CO2 emissions, a longer lifespan for equipment and in some cases less noise pollution.The cube of wax is contained in a certi�ed* refrigeration-safe plastic, speci�cally designed to allow the wax to cool or warm at the same rate as food.The wax is highly durable and can last for many years. It is completely safe and non-toxic. It will give you the same reading as the temperature 10mm inside the produce. NSF Certi�ed as being a maximum of 30°C below and 27°C above a wide range of control products as typically required by HACCP.

The Endocube is a refrigeration control device, which has been fully independently tested and certi�ed as Food Safe by the US NSF International and HACCP Australia. Endocube, Invented by British engineers and patented internationally, has been widely tested by independent organisations and has proven to reduce energy consumption by up to 35%

HOW IT WORKS – THE QUICK ANSWER

• The Endocube sits over the thermostat sensor.

• The sensor now lies at 10mm within the patented microcrystaline food product. Fluctuating air temperatur is now not controlling the refrigeration.

• Food temperature, represented by the Endocube is controlling the refrigeration, switching it ‘on and o�’ when food temperature requires it, not the air temperature.

• Because �uctuating air temperature no longer causes so many random ‘on and o�’ starts of the compressor motor leads to considerable savings.

HOW LEDS ARE DIFFERENT

LED lighting is very di�erent from other lighting sources such as incandescent bulbs and CFLs. Key di�erences include the following:

• Light Source: LEDs are the size of a �eck of pepper, and a mix of red, green, and blue LEDs is typically used to make white light.• Direction: LEDs emit light in a speci�c direction, reducing the need for re�ectors and di�users that can trap light. This feature makes LEDs more e�cient for many uses such as recessed down lights and task lighting. With other types of lighting, the light must be re�ected to the desired direction and more than half of the light may never leave the �xture.• Heat: LEDs emit very little heat. In comparison, incandescent bulbs release 90% of their energy as heat and CFLs release about 80% of their energy as heat
