Hana Solution Validation Checklist


Scope and ObjectiveThe mission of the Starup Focus Program is to establish SAP Hana as a viable and attractive platform for startups to build cutting edge applications.The program assists the startups to achive this goal by providing all necessary expertise from the Idea phase to the Go To Market phase.

The Program consists of three main phases.They are Recuitment,Development Accelerator and Market Enablement.

The Development Accelerator is the technical enablement pillar of the SAP StartupFocus Program (SFP). We focus our efforts beginning with when a partner(“startup”) starts exploring the potential benefits of building on SAP platformTechnologies through to delivering a production ready solution to marketleveraging that technology.

The purpose of the Hana Solution Validation Checklist is to verify that the startup application based on SAP HANA platform leverages the key technological components of SAP Hana and that the final application or solution meets all the standards of an application running on an SAP Platform.

Hana Based Application TypesSAP Hana based applications can be categorized in 2 main categories:

1) External Applications: External applications use an external application server(Java,Abap ..etc) on top of the SAP Hana database.

2) Native Applications: Native Hana applications are based on XS Engine, without an external application server.
