Walk-in Customer completes input form and makes

payment Staff enters data in Permit Plan Prints out form that includes completed

application with License Tax Certificate attached

Customer departs having applied, made payment and received certificate

Business License Applications cont. Mail-in

Customer completes input form received either via the mail or downloaded from the City’s Web page

Customer remits form and payment (check or Credit Card) to the City

Staff enters data, reflects payment and prints out application with License Tax Certificate and mails to customer

Business License Applications cont. Internet (currently)

Customer completes input form on City Web page and submits application.

Staff reviews transaction, notifies customer (via Email) of acceptance and states that a billing notice will be mailed containing amount due.

Internet (in the Future) Customer enters payment information by either

– Credit card– Check (Electronic funds transfer)

Staff accepts payment, prints out application with certificate and mails to customer

Business License Renewals, Billings and Final Notices Renewals, Billings and Final Notices

are run by Tidemark Batch. Each Notice contains a Stub to remit

with payment, which upon return is input into the system via a Remittance Processor.
