Consider Sharing Your Faith With the Children of the Parish Pope Francis reminds us that children are the greatest blessing that God has given us. We have a

wonderful group of dedicated Catechists who take the time to teach our beautiful Catholic Faith to

the children of the Parish.

At this time I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider joining this dedicated group. Due to the

pandemic we have moved our Faith Formation program to an Online learning /Virtual program. Stu-

dents will complete lessons online with their parents and Catechists will meet virtually via ZOOM for

45 minutes every other week with a class.

We currently have openings for the following sessions:

Sunday 10:30am-11:15am session for 6th & 7th grades

Monday 4:30pm- 5:15pm session for 4th & 5th grades.

Tuesday 4:30pm- 5:15pm session for 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades

You don’t have to teach alone, you can team up with a friend or neighbor and co-teach a class. We

will be providing in person (distanced) ZOOM training for all Catechists at the end of September in

the Parish Center. Virtual class are scheduled to begin the week of October 18th.

Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss this rewarding ministry! Continued Blessings for

health and strength in these uncertain times.

Pam Crozier

MEMORIAL MASSES

Ordinarily, memorial masses are not permitted at St. Joseph’s. However, because of the recent suspension of church services, St. Joseph will now allow families to schedule a memorial mass for those who died between March 14 and June 8, 2020 and could not be afforded the benefit of a funeral mass.

Please be advised of the following procedures: Masses may be scheduled 2 weeks in advance. The family must contact the parish office during regular business hours to confirm a date.

Due to Archdiocesan guidelines, family participation will be limited. Offertory processions, lectors and eulogies will not be permitted.

Families may select scripture readings and appropri-ate music selections as outlined in the parish funeral planner which is available on the parish website or from the funeral home.

Since the memorial mass will be conducted in the same solemn manner as a funeral mass, an organist and cantor will be required.

The fees listed below should be remitted to the parish office 3 days prior to the mass. Church Offering - $350 Organist - $250 & Cantor - $175

A TIME TO LOVE…..Marriages For The Month of August

We congratulate and pledge our prayers for the following couples, who enter into the Sacrament of Marriage:

Anthony Marino & Rose Goodman Nicolas Cucchiarella & Jessica Barzelatto

Brian McIntyre & Nicole DiFusco Brian Realbuto & Jacqueline Callan

I'm a couple months early, but I figured you all needed a little uplifting: It is a scary time, there is a lot of uncertainty and worry. People are questioning how they are going to pay their bills, and when they will be able to return work. There isn't an easy answer to any of those questions, we would be fooling ourselves if we say there was. However, once we work on the simple foundation of loving each other, it can reduce our stress a bit. Certain things are out of people's control, however God and other humans have our backs. I wanted to wish you lots of luck, as you continue through this difficult time. Just know that the joy and happiness we bring each other can solve a little bit of this grand puzzle. Thinking of you all, and wishing you many blessings for the rest of the year. Sincerely yours Anonymous Parishioner
