Ridgecrest Baptist Church

Please announce to your churches and invite

volunteers to join us in helping our

DBA churches!

The mission work will begin at 8 am and last a

couple of hours depending on how many folks

show up. Work includes yard work, pressure

washing, painting, and minor maintenance

on building and grounds.

Ridgecrest….

Ridgecrest will be in revival Sept 16-19. Terry Long from the State Board of Missions will bring God’s word and our Johnny Anderson will lead worship with special guest singers including Cricket Lee of Dothan, AL. Sunday service times are Sunday School at 9:15am with morning worship at 10:30am then we will have choir practice at 5:30pm with service at 6pm. Monday thru Wednesday choir practice at 6pm with service at 6:30pm. Every-one is invited to attend.

Ridgecrest Baptist Church will be the new drop off location for Operation Christmas Child this year!! We will have a ribbon cutting followed by a dinner with special speakers who have had the privilege of delivering these shoeboxes and sharing the gos-pel around the world! Please make plans to join us on Nov. 3 at 4:30pm at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Newton Baptist…

Newton Baptist will have Homecoming on September 30, 2018. Coffee and Donuts will be served at 9:45am. Service at 10:30am fol-lowed by Lunch on the Grounds.

New Hope…

New Hope is looking for a part time (Sunday only) Music Minis-ter. Contact Bro. Jud Waldrop at 447-8595 for more information.

Chalkhead Baptist…

There is a man and his service dog that needs to relocate to Colorado because of the climate. If you have contacts that can help him, please call Chalkhead with the information.

Hillcrest… The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Philippi “I thank My God upon every remembrance of You” (Phil 1:3). This is my thought as I think of all the precious brothers and sisters who came on August 18th to help us improve the appearance of our facilities. To me the fellowship was the best part. Thank you so much Dale Baptist Churches for all you did for us Pastor Dennis L Tew

Pleasant Ridge…

We would like to thank the many people who gave up their Saturday morning to help us at Pleasant Ridge. They trimmed trees and picked up branches, they cleared a fence row and cleaned and repaired our play-ground equipment, they installed new lights and exit lights, and they deep cleaned our sanctuary and several rooms. We had men and wom-en from Ridgecrest, Ozark, Logan Road, Chalkhead, Mt. Pisgah, Holmes, and Hillcrest Baptist churches. We thank Brother Jim and the associa-tion for providing both the money and the concept to help our church and other churches. Praise the Lord for all the work that was done.

A Word to Consider

Here is a good Greek word…WOW! What a blessing our Mini Mission

Workdays are turning out to be both to the churches and to those who

participate! It is a great time of fellowship and community building be-

tween churches. You can be certain that the community surrounding

these churches notice what is going on and are talking about it! THANK

YOU for your support and help.

We have gone to Hillcrest and Pleasant Ridge with at least 11 churches

providing volunteers. We have had two youth groups come also. Check

out our associational Facebook page for pictures. Our next Mini Mission

workday is at Ridgecrest on Tuesday, September 18 from 8-11. Come and

volunteer to help!

We have gained two volunteers to the ministry center store…would you

consider adding to that number? We really need ten more volunteers to

help sort, price and/or place donated items on the store racks. We would

love also to have youth groups come to help! Call me for more infor-

mation.

Our Key Leader Rally was an encouragement to those leaders who attend-

ed. I am asking for feedback. Email me the answer to these two questions.

Was this rally beneficial for the average key leader in our association?

What recommendations for improvement would you like to share?

Please remember your staff ministers (and their spouse!) next month.

October is Minister Appreciation month.

Please pray for our state missionaries especially during the week of prayer

September 9-15. This is also our Myers/Mallory state missions offering!

Robin and I are available. “You have not because…” Call us. It remains our

blessing to serve our Lord through the Dale Baptist Association.

DBA Mission Development News…

Mission Opportunities Blairsville, GA– October 24-27. Construction. We need a few more volunteers. Cost up to $275 per person.

Also, any one interested in getting a trip to go to Atlanta to work at the Operation Christmas Child Center, please contact the Dale Baptist Asso-ciation. We will probably plan for either the first or second week in December.
