2018 GES SILENT AUCTION:

Got tickets to a Colts game or collegiate football game that you cannot use over fall break this year? Need to get rid of a timeshare stay or frequent flyer miles by the end of the year? Sign ups are now open for Room Parents for each of our GES classrooms. Room Parents play a pivotal role during the school year & are the PTO’s voice to all classroom parents. The 3 room parents per classroom are responsible for communicating with the classroom families regarding PTO events, planning and overseeing the 2 classroom celebrations and helping to coordinate the donations for the Fall Festival Silent Auction baskets. All Room Parents will receive a toolkit full of materials intended to streamline efforts at the orientation meeting scheduled for Tuesday 8/28 from 6:00-7:00PM in the GES cafeteria. Now is the time to start saving Box Top$ For Education labels off boxes, cans and packages of everyday items you use! For a list of products and additional details on this program, please go to www.boxtops4education.com.

Then, send these labels with your student either on or before our first Topsicle Tuesday which will take place on Tuesday, September 11th during each of the lunch periods. Classes that bring in 100 or more labels will win a free popsicle at lunch!

1. Check all expiration dates prior to submitting

2. Cut out the Box Top entirely. They do not accept torn items.

3. Do not glue, tape or stick together items in anyway. Please do not attach Box Tops to anything. *If you would NOT like your child to receive a popsicle, please let your child’s teacher know.

*All children at the allergy table will receive a separate permission slip with ingredients that will need to be signed prior to receiving a Popsicle.

We love having parent volunteers to help us pass out popsciles and count all the Box Tops! Please stay tuned for volunteer sign-ups for our first Topiscle Tuesday on October 10th.

Friends of the Library Club Celebrating a birthday? An awesome report card? A big win on the field?

You are invited to join the Friends of the Library Club and donate a book to the Geist Elementary Library

in tribute to your child and his or her accomplishments and milestones. Whether you choose to honor a

birthday or celebrate an event, Friends of the Library Club members will:

Choose a brand new book from those recently purchased by Mrs. Pidcock.

Have a permanent picture nameplate placed in the front of the book dedicating the

book to the library in the child’s name.

Receive a special celebration bookmark and pencil.

Be the first person to check out the special book from the library.

See his or her name listed in the Geist Gazette and hear it on the announcements.

Your child’s picture will be added to the Friends of the Library bulletin board in the

library.

If you have multiple children at Geist Elementary, you may donate one book for each child or one book per

family. Each Geist Elementary student in your family will receive the same recognition as stated above.

Be sure to include all siblings’ names and special dates on the enrollment form.

Friends of the Library Club is optional. If you decide to enroll your child in the club, please return the
