Research about the effects of music study has shown
that music makes children smarter and contributes to
their brain development. Through the discipline of
learning music there is a transfer of communicative,
cognitive, and study skills that becomes useful in
every part of life. Children who study music have
higher self-esteem and better success in school, in
developing their mind
and intelligence, in
society, and in life.
Music making also
makes the elderly
healthier. It is never
too late to learn the
universal language of
music. For the adult
beginner it is a
timeless hobby that
yields a lifetime of enrichment; a fun and
exciting journey for students of all ages.
Music is invaluable, shaping the musician’s
abilities and character. It is a wonderful
means of expression and release; physically,
psychologically, emotionally and spiritually
therapeutic. Music speaks what words
cannot and is the sound of emotion. Music
is of eternity. “Why music lessons?” The real
question to ask is: “Why not?”
“God gave us music that we might pray without words.”

Private Lessons
Piano &
Voice
Who is Stacy Marie? An accomplished pianist, vocalist, dancer and
songwriter, Stacy has been performing and
ministering on stages across America and Europe for
over twenty years. She was one of four sopranos
chosen nationally to be in the NARAS Grammy Jazz
Choir, where she performed with Carlos Santana, Jon
Secada, Monica, and Arturo Sandoval, as well as
recorded a CD with A&M Records. Some of her other
accomplishments include being a Governor’s Honors
Program Voice major, a member of the Georgia All—
State Chorus for six consecutive years, and the lead
female role in off—Broadway productions such as
“Oliver”, “Once Upon A Mattress”, “My Fair Lady”, and
“The Secret Garden”. Stacy is a local, regional, and
national beauty pageant queen, a professional model,
and became a professional Ballroom and Latin dance
instructor and competitor with Fred Astaire Dance
Studios in 1998. Stacy had a season of training at
MorningStar Fellowship in Charlotte, NC where she
participated in worship and graduated from their School
of Ministry in 1999. She is currently teaching private
Voice and Piano lessons, recording her next original album
project, and is the worship leader for the Contemporary
service at Oak Grove United Methodist Church as well as
for her house church community gatherings.
On a more eternal note... Stacy was raised in a family of worship leaders. Her father
Larry Trammell (a prophetic forerunner in his eternal
message and worship, as well as a great friend, mentor,
and personal hero, who is now with the Lord) played a vital
role in developing her heart of worship and to see the Bride
of Christ established and mature, pursuing the unseen
things of Christ and His everlasting Kingdom, knowing Him
intimately and experiencing God in His fullness, accepting
no substitutes. Her songs boldly and genuinely call to all
who will listen; touching and transforming lives with Truth.
Her heart is to see the saints equipped so that they may
first minister to the Lord and then to others; partaking of
and participating in Spirit-born worship and expression
unto God through song and dance without inhibition.
A Passion For Music And
A Passion For Teaching A musician for over twenty years, Stacy not only understands music but can demonstrate superior vocal and piano technique. This is essential so the student learns first-hand what to emulate. Not only does Stacy have life-long experience and high qualifications, she is also a gifted teacher. She cares deeply and sincerely for all of her students’ personal development and has the experience, intuition, motivation, knowledge, understanding, and patience to effectively impart her passion for music to her students. Each person’s thought processes, perceptions, and learning styles are unique, thus Stacy’s teaching approach is adjusted according to the individual. Every lesson is customized with sensitivity to the needs, desires, personality, and learning style of the pupil. She teaches good practice habits while promoting character development and self-discipline, and is active in setting goals for every student. Her students are instructed in how to create music and be expressive musicians. Stacy seeks to discover, awaken, and help develop each student’s gifts; to see them excel in their personal calling and allow a heart of nobility, integrity, and humility to be formed within them. Stacy truly has the gift of a teacher; nurturing her student’s desire to learn.

What teaching methods are used? Stacy specializes in the Suzuki Method for piano which is a world renowned approach emphasizing ear development and parental involvement. Beyond that, custom exercises and choice of material is based on the student’s level and field of study. Young voice students are taught general concepts, music theory, ear training, and singing for fun! After the voice is more mature, advanced and serious vocal study can be pursued.
What ages do you teach? Music lessons are for children of all ages, be they 4 or 104! Children are very impressionable and it is ideal for them to be a part of rich musical environments as early as possible, but it is never too late to begin. Stacy has taken piano students as early as age four, yet every student is unique. Parents are required to observe the lessons.
What is the tuition? Private lessons occur once a week and are initially offered as half an hour for younger students, and increase in length for more advanced students based on their goals. Tuition is based on a year of 34 private lessons & 9 enrichment group classes.

Where and when are the classes? Stacy teaches out of her home music studio located near the Mall of Georgia in the Lawrenceville/Buford area. Lessons are the same time once a week and may be scheduled Mon, Wed, or Fri. Please contact Stacy to find out what openings she has in her schedule so that a time may be reserved that is most convenient for you.
What if I want to study Piano and Voice? Great! The piano is the foundational instrument for learning most any instrument, including the voice. Once a student has a good foundation in piano, gaining skills in other instruments is more easily acquired. A longer lesson is ideal for studying both piano and voice.
What styles are taught? Stacy’s students receive a well-rounded education as they are trained in Classical, Popular, Musical Theater, Jazz, Rock, and R&B. Music Theory is taught with a special emphasis on ear training and solid technique, while gaining a thorough understanding of music fundamentals. A Chord approach prepares students to play contemporary music and read chord charts. Students learn to Sight Read and some write music of their own through Songwriting and Composition study. Stacy’s Voice students expand their range, gain more power and control, and develop an ear for harmony and good intonation. From her vast experience on stages worldwide Stacy teaches all aspects of Performance; having good stage presence, displaying confidence and charisma, capturing the audience, and guarding the heart and mind against the snares therein. Many of Stacy’s students have a heart for Praise and Worship, and she helps them grow in sensitivity to the Holy Spirit as they learn to minister in song to the Lord and others.
