ACC ATHLETICS SQUAD UPDATE (Final Squad announced Friday 12th September Week 8)

Over 120 students were at ACC training in Week 6, vying for a position in the ‘Final ACC Athletics Squad’ which will be published on Friday 12th September (Week 8). The Schools Knockout Competition also saw a number of students improve upon the times and distances they set at the recent House Carnivals which bodes well the overall Squad success.

As a result of training improvement and the Schools Knockout Competition, some amendments have been made to the School’s ‘Provisional ACC Athletics Squad’. These are listed below. Please note the Squad is still ‘Provisional’ and is subject to alteration following training improvement by the ‘Contenders’, students attitude, performance, and unfortunately injury and illness and personal circumstances.

At present the Squad is looking exceptionally strong and having completed a full analysis upon this years students athletics performances and last years results, the Squad is going to be in high contention for promotion to ‘A’ Division. A number of students are highly likely to achieve either Sports Colours, Sports Honours or ACC Honorary All Star Team selection. Overall, I am hoping the Squad will place in the Top 5 Schools in Perth across all ACC Divisional Carnivals.

A very small number of students’ have now been omitted from the initial list; there have been no additions.
