WORKSHOP ON CV WRITING 19TH JULY 2014

workshop on Curriculum

Vitae (CV) Writing was conducted

by Dr. Sateeshchandra Joshi and Mr.

Mangesh Kamble on Saturday, 19th July 2014.

A total of 120 students, i.e., 20 students from

MBA and 100 Students from MCA

participated in the workshop. The session was

conducted at the Auditorium of the Institute.

They were briefed about the essential

elements of Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Importance of additional certification was

also highlighted. They were also given a

specimen format of CV for VIIT.

Students were asked to prepare their individual CVs and get them checked by the faculty members. Students’

participation was wholehearted.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS: COTTON KING

9TH AUGUST 2014

II year students visited to Cotton King on 09th Aug. 2014. 38 students were present

for the visit. Students got the entire information of Textile Company under the

guidance of Mr. K. B. Gaikwad, General Manager, Cotton King. He took the session

for students to clear their doubts.

After this visit students got practical knowledge of entire process which follows in Textile industry.

4TH ALUMNI MEET A MEGA EVENT 2014 23RD AUGUST 2014

he 4th Alumni Meet – A Mega Event 2014 was organized on

Saturday, 23rd August 2014. The programme was organized

in a manner that each and every alumnus should enjoy the

event. More than 50 alumni from MCA, MBA and MCM batches

attended the programme and cherished their old golden memories.

As discussed in the management council meeting of alumni

association, the format of the programme was modified. As per new

format, there was a felicitation of achievers and followed by that, there was experience sharing of the individual

alumna. The programme became very interesting and all of the alumni enjoyed it. The programme was ended

with the dinner.

INDUSTRIES LIMITED, WALCHANDNAGAR 24TH AUGUST 2014

e organized industrial visit for MBA 1st year to Walchandnagar Industries Limited, Walchandnagar,

Tal- Indapur, Dist- Pune on 24th August 2014. 49 students were present, with 2 faculty members

Prof. Manisha Shelkande and Prof. Mangesh kamble for the visit.

We reached the industry at 1.00 pm moved further to Vinod Doshi Technology Center, for getting safety

precautions and to know the history of the company. At the hall, Mr. Gadekar B.H. delivered the session about

the history and present position of the company.

History- The founder of the company was Mr. Walchand Hirachand (23/11/1882 – 08/04/1953). Seth

Walchand Hirachand was one of the renowned industrialists of pre-independence India. The company has

completed 110 years of its quality production in engineering sector.

Current position- The chairman of the company is Mr. Chakor Lalchand Doshi. Mr. Doshi holds the position

of chairman since 1998, prior to which he has served as M.D. of the company for 10 years.

The head office of the company is at Seth Walchand Hirachand Street, Ballard Estate Mumbai (A) and the

Marketing office is at Pune.

Then Mr. Salve (Safety officer) interacted with students about the safety precautions to be taken while entering

in manufacturing area like Helmets are compulsory and will be provided by them, shoes are also compulsory

and not to touch any electric or machine components as it may be dangerous.

After that, Mr. Gadekar & Mr. Raskar took all the students in two groups to show all the machinery and guided

them about all the functions of all the divisions such as Sugar division, Boiler division, Gear division, Special

Power division, nuclear division, Missile division, Defence division etc. In this way student got all practical

knowledge of Manufacturing Industry and their work.

MEGA JOB FAIR 12TH& 13TH FEBRUARY 2015

Baramati based companies participated during the VIIT’s Mega

Job Fair that was organized on 12th and 13th February, 2015. To

name a few companies such as Imsofer Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd,

Tech Mahindra, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, 2 COMS Pune, MechIT

Technologies, Mota Automotive Pvt. Ltd, Value Plus, Justech Global

Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Baramati Agro Ltd, Spytech Pune, Imuons

Technologies Pune, Nexgen IIT, istepup etc. These companies were

looking for candidates having background of IT, Marketing, Human

Resource and Finance. HR experts from these companies interviewed with final year students and also

interacted with first year students in regards to Summer Internship Project.

Dr. Amol Goje, Director, VIIT addressed and guided students. Mrs. Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Trustee, Vidya

Pratishthan was present and encouraged students during the fair. Mr. Mangesh Kamble, Training & Placement

Officer, student volunteers and staff members co-ordinated the Mega Job Fair.

“UDYAM”- A LECTURE SERIES FOR

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

21STFEBRUARY 2015

dyam- Lecture series for Entrepreneurship Development was

organized on Saturday, 21st February 2015. A session by Dr.

Ashish Tawkaar was on “Neuro Linguistic Programming and its

application for Entrepreneurship Development”. It was well received by

both faculty members and students.

Afternoon session was an open forum discussion with Industrialists (entrepreneurs) from various sector such

manufacturing as well servicing. Mr. Ashish Pallod, Mr. Sujit Kulkarni, Mr. Khandu Gaikwad and Mr.

Suryawanshi shared their life journey from the beginning to date. It was an awesome experience sharing

exercise which is immensely useful for students and faculty members alike.

BRAINWAVE 2015 27TH FEBRUARY 2015

state level competition organized on 27th Feb 2015 in which around 60 participants from various

colleges and institutes were participated. Participants were given opportunity to compete in different

activities such as Programming Experts, Techno-Quiz, Ad-mad show and Business Quiz. The entire

event was organized by VIIT students under the guidance of faculty. At the end of competition, winners were

given prizes in the form of technical gadgets by the auspicious hands of

Mr. Vivek Velankar, Social Activist of Pune.

III CELL – GUEST LECTURE –

“ SECRETE TO BECOME AN SUCCESSFUL

ENTREPRENEUR” 8TH AUGUST 2015

session of Mr. Anil Kadam was organized by III Cell. The session

highlighted the traits required for successful entrepreneur. This session

motivated the students to undertake startup ventures. All the students and the

participants were engrossed in the session.

“MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER

RELATED TECHNOLOGIES” 8TH AUGUST 2015

was an eye opening session for MCA students. Mr. Bhosale gave a

very nice account of mobile application development and other related

technologies. It gave students a very interesting insight to the subject.

He made the subject easy and understandable with actual real life examples.

TRAINING MCA STUDENTS ON WORDPRESS

TECHNOLOGY 11TH AUGUST 2015

ordpress is open source content management system based on PHP

and MySQL. From this training, students learnt how to download and

install Wordpress, How to configure Wordpress for database. Students

also learnt about how to use plug-ins for different tasks like registration, theme,

slider, email etc and how to use and configure the admin dashboard. This training

is given by in-house faculty Mr. Yogesh Raje. The feedbacks of the students

were excellent.

SAFETY DRIVING AWARENESS PROGRAMME 28TH AUGUST 2015

Ajay Shinde from Mahalaxmi Automotive conducted an

interesting safety driving session for all staff members of

VIIT. He showed an interesting audio visual clip to facilitate

better understanding of the subject. All the staff members appreciated such

interaction with the expert.

15 MARKETERS’ FESTIVE EXHIBITION 6TH, 7TH AND 8TH

NOV 2015

students of Marketing Specialization organized and managed

a mega event called “15 Marketers”. Venue was Natraj Natya

Kala Mandir, Baramati. It was inaugurated at the auspicious

hands of Col. Pranab Chakra

Borty, Registrar, Vidya Pratishthan. The event got overwhelming

response from Baramatikars. It was one of the enriching and unique

experiences for the organizing students. They had planned and executed

this event right from the beginning. It involved procuring sponsorship, arranging the pandal and the event, run

the eatery, garment and imitation jewelry stalls.

Outcome(s):Overall there was a feeling of satisfaction among the parents regarding development of their

children. However, two things were highlighted, like facilities in the girls’ hostel and time of beginning of

the lectures. Competent authorities assured them to resolve the issues at the earliest.

Conclusion: The programme concluded with a suggestion to have communication by SMS to all the

parents. Then after the campus visit, lunch was organized for all the parents.

He stressed the importance of voice culture and pronunciation basics.

Conclusion:Students expressed their huge satisfaction after going

through the process of dramatics, theatric gaming and exercises. They felt

the need for change. They also were adaptive to gain the fruits of effective and useful communication.

association with Vidyapratishthan, VIIT and Environmental

Forum of India.

Venue: VP campus,Baramati.

No. of participants: More than 1500 children scientists from

all over India participates. Children scientists from Asian

countries were special participants.

These delegates were felicitated at the auspicious hands of Mrs.

SunetrataiPawar. The delegates were also handed over

certificates, mementos and medals. All of them were delighted

to receive the recognition.

Children scientists of the ASEAN countries were given an

opportunity to present their projects in front of the Evaluators.

The scientists were thrilled with the experience. They also

witnessed presentations by children scientists from all over

India.

These delegates also visited KrishiVikas Kendra, Baramati.

They were very inquisitive and eager to know the various

experiments and projects carried out at KVK.

Each delegate was happy to visit the Science Exhibition

organized during the event. They also enjoyed the food court

as well as fun and frolic at the various games show at the

exhibition.

The teams of each of those ASEAN countries actively

participated in the Cultural Programme also. They sported

their talent and pleased one and all in the audience.

These delegates also witnessed the Valedictory Function. This

session was addressed by Hon’ble Shri.PrakashJavadekar,

Union HRD Minister, Government of India.

Conclusion: As per all the participants and the delegates, this

National Children Science Congress, truly was one of the Life Time Experience. They expressed that it is

a treasure of moments. They feel that they will cherish these for years to come.

NGO’S EYE CHECK -UP CAMPAIGN

6TH-7THAUGUST 2015

Environmental Forum of India conducted an Eye Check-up as well as Eye Treatment Camp in

Baramati. Students Volunteers from MBA and MCA wholeheartedly participated. The camp

was successful. Students learnt to connect with the society for the noble cause.

SAFETY DRIVING AWARENESS PROGRAMME 28THAUGUST 2015

Mr. Ajay Shinde from Mahalaxmi Automotive conducted an

interesting safety driving session for all staff members of

VIIT. He showed an interesting audio visual clip to facilitate

better understanding of the subject. All the staff members

appreciated such interaction with the expert.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 29THOCT 2015

As per the directives of AICTE, New Delhi, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in our Institute from 26th November 2015 to 31st November 2015. Students were given oath by Dr.S.P.Joshi for observing vigilance and to have absolutely no tolerance for corruption and bad social vices. Students witnessed two videos viz. Leaders are born or made and Video circulated by AICTE.Students’ Representatives viz. Mr.Hatim Vohra, Ms. Prachi Gawade, Mr.Vijay Bhise and Mr.Kiran Waghmare also spoke on the occasion. Essay and Poster Competition for students were declared.

DIGITAL INDIA WEEK-INAUGURATION BY THE PRIME

MINISTER 1ST JULY 2015

Live telecast at the auditorium was organized on 1st July 2015. All the faculties, IT teachers for Computer on wheels project were present. This was one of the flagship event launched by Government of India under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime

Minister of India Mr.Narendra Modi.

15 MARKETERS’ FESTIVE EXHIBITION

6TH, 7TH& 8THNOV 2015

15 students of Marketing Specialization organized and managed a mega event called “15

Marketers”. Venue was Natraj Natya Kala Mandir, Baramati. It was inaugurated at the

auspicious hands of Col. Pranab Chakra

Borty, Registrar, Vidya Pratishthan. The event got overwhelming response from Baramatikars.

It was one of the enriching and unique experiences for the organizing students. They had

planned and executed this event right from the beginning. It involved procuring sponsorship,

arranging the pandal and the event, run the eatery, garment and imitation jewelry stalls.

Swapnil Mutha decoded the mystery of share market. It was a

over India participates. Children scientists from Asian countries

were special participants.

These delegates were felicitated at the auspicious hands of Mrs.

SunetrataiPawar. The delegates were also handed over

certificates, mementos and medals. All of them were delighted to

receive the recognition.

Children scientists of the ASEAN countries were given an

opportunity to present their projects in front of the Evaluators.

The scientists were thrilled with the experience. They also

witnessed presentations by children scientists from all over India.

These delegates also visited KrishiVikas Kendra, Baramati. They

were very inquisitive and eager to know the various experiments

and projects carried out at KVK.

Each delegate was happy to visit the Science Exhibition organized

during the event. They also enjoyed the food court as well as fun

and frolic at the various games show at the exhibition.

The teams of each of those ASEAN countries actively participated

in the Cultural Programme also. They sported their talent and

pleased one and all in the audience.

These delegates also witnessed the Valedictory Function. This

session was addressed by Hon’ble Shri.PrakashJavadekar, Union

HRD Minister, Government of India.

Conclusion: As per all the participants and the delegates, this

National Children Science Congress, truly was one of the Life

Time Experience. They expressed that it is a treasure of moments. They feel that they will cherish these

Outcome(s):All the students understood Importance of shortcuts to solve tricky questions in CET. Also

Objective(s): 1. To make aware about Cyber security and its impact. 2. To introduce digital forensics and

legal procedures. 3. To inspire the participants to implement security practices.

Guest Speaks:Mr. Mayank Kothawadeaddress the participants on the “CYBER SECURITY & Cyber

Crime Investigations” which covers types of cybercrimes, types of cyber criminals, digital forensics,

cybercrime investigations and cybercrime scenario in India.

Outcome(s):Participants received the content transported very well during the session.

Conclusion: The programme ended with the promise to start implementing security practices on own

devices.

Target Participants: Eye patients and old age citizens of Baramati. Our students worked as volunteers

for the programme

Time & Duration: 10.00 am. To 4.00 pm.

Guest Name: Hon’ble Mr.Ajit Pawar, Mrs.Sunetratai Pawar

Objective: To make aware about health of the eyes and create overall awareness about the eye and

health care.

Outcome: Participants actively worked for social cause.

BOOK EXHIBITION 18TH FEBRUARY 2018

Target Participants: students and faculties from Vidya Pratihsthan’s Campus as well as three other

Management Institutes viz. MIM, Kalamb, Anekant Institute of Management Studies, Baramati and

Shivnagar Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s Institute of Management, Baramati


Time & Duration: 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m

Objective: To acquaint the students with various publications and their books, novels, competitive

examination study materials etc.

Outcome: Students/faculties gave wonderful response.

Conclusion: The programme was well appreciated.
