CONSENSUS® is a unique seed treatment designed to promote early germination and quicker root development. It stimulates Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) to start seedlings growing faster for a better finish for your crop.

A faster, healthier start for the seed and seedling leads to faster emergence, better stands, plant stress resistance and better yields.

CONSENSUS contains a unique, three-way combination of ingredients that cause:• Faster germination • Better early root development• Plant stress protection

• Healthier, more vigorous seedlings• Quicker emergence• More robust root system• More yield

For use on soybeans, cotton, small grains and many other crops.

CONSENSUS features a low use rate – 0.33-1.0 fl. oz. per 100 lbs seed, and is rhizobia-friendly, making it an excellent companion product for fungicide and insecticide seed treatment programs.

Multiple modes of action: Loveland’s new registration of two molecules allow a combination of several components that affect the seedling and the growing crop in the following ways:

1. Chitosan - Increased utilization of seed storage nutrients: The selected natural polysaccharides found in Chitosan can promote gene expression to produce highly active hydrolases, leading to better use of the nutrient storage in seeds for faster germination and seedling growth.

2. Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) - Promotion of root system development: Auxins in “Consensus,” in the form of IBA, can promote the development of lateral roots and root hairs, thus enhancing the absorption of water and soil nutrients for faster seedling growth and stronger resistance to stresses.

3. Salicylic Acid (SA) - Increased resistance to microbial pathogens: SA’s mode of action is as a Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) inducer for seedlings – i.e., a trigger for invoking a seedling’s natural defenses against pathogens allowing for greater plant vigor and survivability. SA activates gene encoding for pathogenesis- related proteins leading to the accumulation of those proteins, which are toxic to multiple microorganisms. In addition, it can also increase the secondary metabolites such as phytoalexins, which are toxic to a variety of plant pathogens
