Winter Ops SEDO has designed an application to bring efficiency and organization

to various scenarios that occur during deicing operations.

Those scenarios range from multiple aircraft on the pad making calls to one pad commander which can quickly get chaotic.

SOC needing immediate information on flight status/pad availability.

Ensuring the accurate accounting of information for FAA audits.

Equipment/truck issues and difficulty coordinating with GSE.

Overall communication breakdowns.

SEDO DATA The SEDO tool allows the pad commander to

record data for up to 6 spots and 12 aircraft simultaneously with ease and efficiency.

The data that SEDO records: Date Aircraft category Flight number Aircraft number Type of Deicing request The spot on the pad Start and end times for de-icing operation Records the employee number and the type of post check. Records the Release time of the Aircraft. Allows for any additional relevant comments.

Data IntegrityThe de-icing data is then recorded in a table

within the SEDO tool without any further prompting by the pad commander.

Once the de-icing of an aircraft is concluded the tool can be reset for the next flight.

There are also two back ups to ensure the integrity of the data.Online table on the SEDO website.Offline file backed up on the computer.

Station Ops/GSE Information for Station Ops will be available on the SEDO website

www.iadsedo.com

Under the subcategory of Live flight Monitors SOC will be able to view the status of a specific flight to see if it has been deiced and released or if it is in progress.

The website will provide flight information, and deicing progress but withhold secure information like employee names and numbers.

Station Ops will also have the ability to communicate with the pad commander via a live chat tool available on the website to clarify any issues.

The website will also provide information on truck/equipment status that can be monitored in real time by GSE and Station Ops to be aware of any malfunctions or necessary repairs.

Sedo AdvantagesBenefits of the SEDO tool.

Making information more fluidly available for coordination between SOC and de-icing pad.

Eliminating unnecessary redundancies in both radio communication and paperwork.

Diminishing misinformation due to errors on paperwork with real time recorded tables.

Ensuring the pad commander is able to be more efficient and organized in deicing ops when the pad is busy.

Allowing GSE/SOC/Pad and eventually pilots to have one resource to obtain information on deicing procedures, and tools to ensure stronger communication and teamwork.
