Park District rules and regulations were adopted by the THPRD Board of Directors in 1997 and are updated periodically. Basic Park Rules Basic park rules cover general use of our park and recreation areas. Parks are opened dawn to dusk. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited, except by permit. Smoking or vaping of any product is prohibited. Camping activities or open fires are prohibited. Dogs must be on a leash. Dog waste must be removed from the park. Golfing activities are prohibited. Littering or dumping of refuse is prohibited. Motorized vehicles are prohibited except in designated parking areas. BEAVERTONOREGON

OverviewTHPRD’s Security Operations Department, based at the Howard M. Terpenning Recreation Complex on 158th and Walker Road, oversees security, including special events, for the entire district. The department also deploys uniformed Park Patrol staff, manages THPRD’s emergency response program for patrons and employees, and investigates encroachments onto THPRD property.

Security Operations works closely with the Beaverton Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Offi ce, Beaverton School District, Portland Community College - Rock Creek Campus, Washington County Animal Control, and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.

Security also coordinates with citizen Park Watch volunteers, neighborhood association committees, and community participation organizations. To learn more about Park Watch, call 503-466-8370. You can fi le a Park Watch report at www.thprd.org.

Park PatrolTHPRD’s uniformed security personnel patrol parks and facilities seven days a week by vehicle, on foot and on bicycles for special occasions or events. To contact Park Patrol, call 971-246-0169.

The primary role of Park Patrol is to welcome users to THPRD’s parks and facilities and to make sure users are safe and follow district rules and regulations.

Park Patrol staff report and investigate incidents. They have the authority to write exclusions of 30 to 180 days to individuals found in violation of district rules and regulations.
