Oberon’s product line includes locking Wi-Fi access point, DAS Remote, networking and A/V equipment enclosures for virtually every workspace. No other manufacturer provides such a complete line of products to secure your in-building wireless and networking equipment. Oberon has a solution for suspended ceiling, hard-lid ceiling, and wall-mounted equipment, indoors and outdoors, for classrooms, public spaces, hospitals, commercial offices, warehouses, and just about any other environment. Oberon’s products are designed to protect most manufacturers’ datacom/telecom equipment.

UL Listed and designed to satisfy national electric code for installation in the above-ceiling space: this includes wall‐mounted locking enclosures, cut‐away ceiling enclosures for hard-lid areas, and NEMA enclosures for outdoor environments. The products are constructed of steel and aluminum and are electro-statically powder-coated for an attractive, extremely durable finish.

Oberon’s products improve wireless infrastructure physical security by allowing the wireless equipment to be “locked down” in otherwise open office spaces. Wireless coverage is improved using the ceiling‐mounted enclosures as the enclosure door provides an effective back‐plane for the antenna, thereby optimizing the antenna pattern for in‐room coverage. Moves, adds, and changes are facilitated by permitting easy access by authorized personnel. In healthcare environments, equipment is serviced with the turn of a key, rather than lifting ceiling tiles. Oberon’s ceiling enclosures and antenna products are UL listed and preserve the integrity and safety of the ceiling system and air-handling space.

Zone Enclosures and Cabinets Bringing Bandwidth Closer to the UserTM

Oberon’s zone enclosures offer flexibility by securing networking and A/V components in the workspace where they are needed. Mounting access switches in the workspace brings bandwidth closer to the user, reduces horizontal cabling volume, and reduces congestion in the telecom room.

Model 1040 is an economical, easy-to-install cloud or canopy mounting kitfor WAPs from most vendors. A cutout is made in the ceiling panel, thepanel bridge is placed above the ceiling panel, and the white trim isplaced around the WAP. The WAP is attached to a universal mounting T-bar and pressed into the panel bridge. The WAP is now recessed into theceiling much like a recessed light fixture for unobstructed wirelesscoverage. Model 1044 is an economical, aesthetic, and easy-to-install suspendedceiling mounting kit for wireless access points from most vendors. SpecificationsThe ceiling is an ideal location for mounting access points, however, different ceiling tile styles andfinishes present a challenge to the installer to create an aesthetic, professional installation. WithOberon’s Model 1044, a cutout is made in the ceiling tile tracing the shape of the access point. Agalvanized steel back-box is placed above the ceiling tile, and a white trim is placed around the accesspoint. The access point is attached to a universal mounting T-bar which is pressed into the back-box fora finished recessed look.

There are two styles of trim for the 1044. The standard trim and mounting t-bar fasten into the back ofthe back box. Although this trim is smaller and more aesthetically pleasing, this requires access to thethumb screws in the back of the back box and this may not be desirable in healthcare environments. Inhealthcare environment, the 1044-XX-F trim is recommended. This trim fastens to the back-box from thefront, with screws. It is not necessary to lift ceiling tiles to access, remove, or replace access points withthe “–F” trim.

Model 1042 provides the simplest way to recess WAPs into the ceiling foran aesthetic, professional installation. A cutout is made in the ceiling andthe back-box is fastened to the ceiling (remodel). The WAP fastens to theWAP-specific trim, and the trim to the back-box. The WAP is recessed intothe ceiling much like a recessed light fixture. Manufacturers’ Statement of Compliance with NFPA 70, National Electric Code

Oberon’s wireless access point enclosures are constructed entirely of non-flammable steel and aluminum in the plenum space. Therefore, they are compliant with the following NFPA 70 National Electric Code paragraphs, for wiring and equipment in Plenum Space:

300-21 Spread of Fire or Products of Combustion

300-22 Wiring in Ducts, Plenums and Other Air Handling Spaces, paragraphs (a), (b), (c), and (d)

For Compliance with National Electric Code paragraphs, Wireless access point enclosures should be supported according to the following paragraph:

300.11 Securing and Supporting

(A) Secured in Place. Raceways, cable assemblies, boxes, cabinets, and fittings shall be securelyfastened in place. Support wires that do not provide secure support shall not be permitted as the solesupport. Support wires and associated fittings that provide secure support and that are installed inaddition to the ceiling grid support wires shall be permitted as the sole support. Where independentsupport wires are used, they shall be secured at both ends. Cables and raceways shall not besupported by ceiling grids.

Appendix C – Warranty

Terms and Conditions

Sale of Equipment – Seller agrees to sell the equipment specified on any quotation, sales order, invoice, or packing slip to Buyer upon the terms and conditions stated below.

Shipment – Unless special arrangements are made, ownership of the goods and risk of damage/loss passes to Buyer when the freight carrier picks them up from Seller, and Buyer is responsible for filing any freight claims for damage or loss. If an item is received with freight damage, it is very important for the Buyer to note "Damaged Freight” on the carrier's bill before signing it.

Freight and Other Charges – Freight charges are prepaid by Seller and added to Buyer's invoice plus a service/handling charge. Sales tax will be charged as required by law.

Credit and Payment Terms – Standard credit terms are Net 30. Oberon accepts company checks, certified checks, Visa or MasterCard. Payments on past due invoices will be subject to a "Late Charge" in the amount of 1½% per month.

Returns and Exchanges – Returned hardware may be subject to a restocking fee of 20% for enclosure products and 10% for all other products. No returns will be accepted for customized orders, special cable order, etc. Returned units must be in original package, undamaged. No returns after 90 days. Customer shall insure return shipment for value of the product. Customer shall be responsible for legal and other fees associated with collection of payments for past due amounts.

Limited Warranty

Limited Warranty – Equipment manufactured by Seller -Seller warrants to Buyer that the equipment will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. This warranty shall not apply to any equipment, which is misused, or for any damage to the equipment resulting from improper installation or operation, vandalism, acts of God, or any other cause beyond reasonable control of the seller. This warranty shall be void if the equipment has been altered, tampered with, or repaired by a party other than the Seller or its authorized representative. In the event of equipment failure within the warranty period, Seller will repair or replace the defective equipment, at its option, provided that Buyer notifies Seller and obtains a RMA number prior to returning the equipment to Seller. Defective equipment must be returned, shipping prepaid, to the Seller's specified address. The warranty on repaired or replaced equipment will be the balance of the original Equipment Warranty. This Warranty Is In Lieu Of All Other Warranties, Express or Implied, Including, Without Limitation, Statutory Warranties or Warranty of Merchantability or Fitness for a Particular Purpose. Seller's sole liability and Buyer's sole remedy hereunder will be repair of replacement of the Equipment as provided in this agreement. Other Equipment -Seller will pass through to Buyer all original Manufacturers' Warranties that may apply to the equipment. Seller may, at its option, process warranty requests by the Buyer to the Original Manufacturer, or refer the Buyer to the Original Manufacturer. Seller is not responsible for any warranty-related issues.
