process to widen the chances of students, eligibility is given to M.P.C students in FMC and FMB.

For some of the courses cut off mark is reduced. As there is a decrease in the admissions of B.Sc MPE the same course is converted

into B.Sc MECS. The admission into B.A/ EM (Political Science, History and Literature) is decreased.

Hence the course is discontinued. 2.1.4 What are the strategies adopted to increase/ improve access for students

A special cell is incorporated for the benefit of students with different needs takes care of the diverse needs of them. This cell named ‘Spoorthi’ is a boon to students as it takes care of the students who are economically disadvantaged and physically challenged.

Regular Tutor-Ward counseling sessions are conducted. Remedial tutor sessions are conducted in the zero hours. Special study material is provided by all departments. Assignments are given and group learning with team leaders is encouraged. A separate register is maintained by each lecturer to record the progress of these

students.

Page 26

Ward tutor regularly counsels the students and maintains a record of their academic progress and emotional welfare.
